you're vspan love is engrained into the minds of all clutch members...sort of like how a new born horse knows how to stand right after birth.
I got home and had to finish some work... then there's a bug in the Steam install engine (of course... 'cuz does anybody ever really test this crap? ) that I had to work around. Then I had to download all my downloadable content and freebie stuff, so I'm just getting started playing. I'll probably decide on a character to play in a few days. lol.
It's not open in the sense that World of Warcraft is open. They're two completely different games. This is more story-driven where you're thrust into a storyline and you kind of feel like you're part of it. World of Warcraft you could play for hours and not know what the hell you were a part of other than you were looking for loot and bouncing around the countryside. I'm saying all this based upon what I've experienced through the tutorial and early adventures. I haven't played much into it, so I don't know if things change much.
So how do the free in game items that came with my pre-order work? Are they only available for one character I create or can i use them for a new character in a new game?
IGN review is out for the PC: 9.0 Presentation A rich and vivid world, loads of mature themes and story expand the tale of Ferelden in front of your eyes. Inconsistent themes and the gift feature weakens believability though. 8.5 Graphics While technically solid with minimal pop-in and texture issues, Dragon Age still lacks some of the visual panache that you'd expect from a game of this caliber. 8.5 Sound Voice acting can be hit or miss, and some effects can go on for too long, but the music and the majority of sound effects are excellent. 9.0 Gameplay An epic tale with everything from betrayal and revenge to heroism and valor, Dragon Age is an excellent experience from your chosen origin to the rolling of credits. Deep and full of customization. 9.5 Lasting Appeal Set aside a large amount of time for this one – beating the game will frequently make you want to pick up and play again to see just how a decision or a conversation would be different. OVERALL: 9.0 http://pc.ign.com/articles/104/1041792p2.html EDIT: Just realized that the 360 has a different review...pretty much the same except for a few points. 9.0 Presentation A rich and vivid world, loads of mature themes and story expand the tale of Ferelden in front of your eyes. Inconsistent Origin elements and the gift feature weakens believability though. 7.5 Graphics Muddier textures and framerate hitches wind up making the visuals on the console a rough experience. Animations are fine, if a little stiff at times. 8.5 Sound Voice acting can be hit or miss, and some effects can go on for too long, but the music and the majority of sound effects are excellent. 8.5 Gameplay Gameplay is definitely action focused, and the radial wheels do a decent job, but the difficulty level is scaled down. 9.5 Lasting Appeal Set aside a large amount of time for this one – beating the game will frequently make you want to pick up and play again to see just how a decision or a conversation would be different. Wow this game is tough. I've died several times...but I'm enjoying it. The way the game controls is very similar to KOTOR. Spoiler I chose to go to Redcliffe first and defending the village has been tough. I can take care of the first few enemies that charge in at the gates, but going down to the main village and defending there has been very hard. The enemies just keep coming...
I've only played about 15 minutes so far. I'm a little confused on dealing with all the party members. Is there a way to make it turn based?
For those that have this game and Demon's Souls...how do they compare? If I have Demon's Souls, would I enjoy this...worth the buy?
Really? I went there first as well and didn't have any problem at all. Strange. What class are you? I went the human Warrior class just to get a feel for the game and I basically ran through that section.
So, I hop on the PS3 thinking I'm going to play momentarily and I do actually start playing after the install, downloadable content, etc. 30 mins later. Lol Went human/rogue because I do want to play melee, but want something besides the basic warrior. About 2 hrs in and enjoying it so far.
