The Clips r going to need a PG after Mcginnis leaves. So Lets give them Moochie, and the 15th pick for the Pick Atlanta owes them then pick up Caron Butler. So itll be

    Francis/Brown
    Mobley/Torres
    Rice/Butler/Morris
    Taylor/Griffin/Wilcox
    Cato/Griffin/Wilcox

This does not include Kenny cus im pretty sure Houston will trade him and someone else for a vet.

Caron Butler is a quality player, no doubt about that. However, he is a near duplicate of K.T. so why trade Kenny to acquire his twin? Why not keep Kenny (a known commodity) and draft someone like Amare Stoudemire or Marcus with that #8 you just acquired? With Rice, Griffin and Walt Williams -- I have no doubt he will be resigned -- at SF, I don't think there would be much PT for Butler.

I think Butler can be better than Thomas, and he plays SF not PF like Kenny thomas. I also feel Butler is more athletic. and im almost sure the Rockets will NOT re-up Walt Williams. We could trade Maybe Kenny Thomas to Pheonix for their pick and get Stoudemire, hows that sound

I somehow don't think we would trade K.T. to Phoenix because he would come back as a Rocket killer. Besides, the Suns have Gugliotta coming back from his injury-plagued year and Shawn Marion camped at SF.

How about sending K.T. to Miami -- Eastern Conference -- where they have a #9 or so pick? K.T. is Riley's kind of player, and he would play SF alongside Brian Grant and Alonzo Mourning.

I think Stoudemire's stock will rise again so, assuming our pick is #5 / #6 / #7, I would hope we would use it on him and the #9 on Butler or to use in a trade for Odom or Lewis.

Of course, I still hope we draft #1 for Ming. Hide your eyes, Longtime Fan, but that would be a thumbs up!

The only resemblance of Caron Butler to KT, is that they are similar size...

After that, Caron has him at just about every category.

Caron is every bit as quick, remember KT looks much quicker than he is because he is being guarded by PF's who don't like to play the perimeter.

Caron is also a very good perimeter defender.

Clippers don't need a PG; even if they let McInnis walk, they have Dooling and Marco Jaric coming over from Europe next year. Scouts are drooling over him right now...and even though it's always been a favorite joke of mine that the Clips picked him - he may very well be a surprise next season.

Butler will be a 2 that can play some 3, KT is a 4 than can play some 3, big difference. Despite their height differences, based on positions Gooden or Jeffries or Griffin is a better comparison to KT than Butler is. KR, I agree with your assessment of Bulter's advantages, but you way underestimate the degree KT is stronger and more physical than Butler. KT would make a solid starting 4 in the East IMO.

I would however be all for trading KT to get Butler because a big 2/athletic good shooting 3 type player (Paul Pierce or Jason Richardson mold) would be a nice fit and we will have a glut of (mostly taller) players whose primary position is the 4.

Scar-I don't think Caron has the ball skills (dribble, passing) to be a 2. I basically see him as a more skilled Ron Artest.

Butler is also very strong... I think he would give KT a run for his money as far as strength goes.

I am not worried about Caron's ball skills. The Scottie Pippen comparisons might be a bit of a stretch, but they are not way off. Caron maybe could stand to be a better ball-handler, but he is a VERY good passer for a sophomore SF. He has good court vision and makes smart decisions.

I think he can be a 2 guard in the Bonzi Wells mold--he'll strong enough to post up other 2 guards.

The Clippers will NOT need another PG for next year--at least not worth trading a lottery pick over. Remember, the Clips have been grooming Keyon Dooling (a lottery pick) to be their PG of the future. Also, they are finally getting Marko Jaric from Europe, who they drafted in the 2nd round a few years ago. Scouts say he's a phenomenal player with height (6-8?!) and passing skills. I don't think the Clips desperately need Moochie or any other non-star PG for next year (except maybe a cheap veteran).
