I'm growing on the idea of picking Taurean Green for the Rockets (if he comes out). He's not great at anything, but he ran an offense for 3 college superstars, he's a reliable ballhandler, he's an underrated defender, and he hits the open 3. He definitely won't be the BPA when the Rockets pick, but I think he's a great fit.
I've said it before, but I think Hansbrough fits the Rockets. He won't be a superstar. He might never even be a starter. For 20 minutes a game, he should be able to rebound, defend ok, and hit open shots out to 15 feet. He won't block any shots.
i think Ron Lewis and Joakim fell a bit after last night. it's crazy how many FL, Ohio State, and Georgetown players are expected to go in the lottery...
I don't have much of an opinion on Hansbrough except if he declares he might push another player within the rockets reach.
My list of good players who are predicted to be around in the 20's whom the Rockets could potentailly draft: 1.Tiago Splitter, PF 2.Josh McRoberts, PF 3.Marc Gasol, PF-C 4.Arron Afflalo, SG 5.Morris Almond, SG 6.Alando Tucker, SG-SF 7.Jason Smith, PF-C 8. Aaron Brooks, PG I put them in no particular order, but I would love to see the Rockets draft McRoberts or Afflalo for a guard.
Splitter's someone the rockets would want to get picked ahead. Unless he gets lottery pick money he'll probably do a Fran Vazquez.
