In my theory, they are not Rockets fans. Some of them are MeFans Self involved fans who know what's going on in TMac's mind and knee and stuff. Actually they enjoy the moment so they can stress all this **** of who's cheering enough. If TMac actually was sad because he can't be part of this, he is still less MeMac than this fans are MeFans. And no, I don't mean ones that are critical of him, he deserves some critic for the past few games.
I'm guessing you don't guess us because you're not one of us? A rocket's fan would know the difference between tmac's "injury" and shane's and ron's. Battier's injury needs rest or it will get worse. Ron's needs rest or it will stay the same. It has been said over and over again that Tmac doesnt need the rest, but just needs to "play through it", and he can't hurt it any further. That's been said by the team, doctors, tmac, etc.
Ok, I check the video over and over to see if TMac does high five or acknowledges Wafer for the cold blooded three and he does not. It is a coach and one guy wearing a similar jacket that five Wafer. Oh well, I am sure if push comes to shove TMac should fall in line very soon or he will be off to some cold place.
Heres the difference. Shane is hurt, not very often, just this year, and he is not doing well but is still playing good D. Ron Ron is hurt, but he forces the coach to let him play because he wants to help out the team. So, Ron plays with one leg and tries his best, some games, he does really well-shooting lights out, some games, he does bad (shooting wise) but he tries, he runs, he plays defense, he fouls (trying to play D hurt) Here we go, we have Tracy...he's been hurt after the first season we got him (correct me if i am wrong). He is very unconsistent, he holds the ball too damn long, he shoots too damn much, he doesnt play good D (at least not this year)--referring back to the portland game when tmac just let roy run out and get the ball while he points at him-- and to the game where he let jamario moon go off for a slam dunk on a fastbreak that he could clearly either distract him (make him change the shot) or he can foul him for a lay-up. Ok, fine we'll let that go for Tracy, but you are on the road trip with the team, in your nice expensive suit, you sit there, like you are bored, hell why dont you bring a laptop and watch some p*rn? at least get up along with the other players when we were trailing and von making that three. ^^^from the other guy, sure dont celebrate too early, wait for the buzzer, but at least get us fired up..and dont leave right when the buzzer goes off..i was watching the replay and when the buzzer went off, i only saw our bench celebrating, the coaches, no sight of tracy...
Yeah, t-mac was just standing up because he's mentally ill ya know? I mean, why would he stand up? Because he's trying to get in von wafers way of course!!! Has anyone every thought that maybe the camera MISSED t-mac JUMPING out of his chair and by the time wafer got there he had calmed down. I mean, not every Rocket high-fived von wafer...I guess that means they should all be traded?
He's also done more to make this organization win over the years than either of those players combined.
If TMac was a team player and wanted to show support, he would have borrowed and worn Shane's hideous red blazer.
I watched the Celtics broadcast too and TMAC never does this. I have it on DVR, and replayed it a couple times just to be sure, and TMAC never once goes up to Wafer. He stands next to him, sure, but you don't see TMAC give Wafer a "pound" or even any recognition at all. TMAC just kinda stands there just like everyone else is saying.
Hmm, this is the greatest mystery of all time. Did TMac cheer or did he not? TMac haters: He frowned after Wafer hit the winning shot. TMac apologists: You lie! He got up and gave Wafer a pound. TMac haters: No YOU lie! TMac apologists: No you lie! . . . . Any forensic evidence? Should we check DNA on Wafer's jersey? Perhaps the camera man was a closet TMac lover?
Ron has torn ligaments in his ankle, Shane Battier had surgery on his ankle and hurt it cause he rehabbed to hard and has to take a cortizone shot, and he plays both those guys play 100% every night. T-mac has knee "soreness", not an actual injury but soreness. Just like Mo Taylor said on 1560 a while back, every NBA player plays with soreness. Who doesn't play with pain, It'd be different if T-mac was playing his ass off, but he shys away from contact and taking it to the rim, he needs to sack up, cause he ain't earned any respect from his teammates. Criticizing T-mac ain't got anything to do about being Rockets fans, we criticize him cause we are Rocket fans, we know what T-mac can do and how important he is to this team, if you can't play then sit out, only hurting your team if you don't bring 100%. Yao came back from a damn stress fracture in 4 months cause he rehabbed like you supposed to. If T-mac would rehabbed like he was supposed to, he'd be ready, Doctors say he is good, thats all I needed to hear. We only going to go as far as t-mac is willing to take us.
Clutch's videos on the Home Page show McGrady NOT congratulating Von Wafer after the 3. He wasn't even standing on that last play (you can see it towards the end, he gets up way after the 3). I watched it at least 10 times, so unless I am blind, he didn't give any love to Wafer.
i saw him standing him, at the beginning right after teh shot, and smiling as everyone comes back to the bench. don't know why tracy was smiling. do u know why?
I am not defending T-Mac at all for what ahs gone down recently, but things like this are total bull****. A previous posters is correct when he pointed out how Battier is defended for not being at the game, yet T-Mac would be getting alot of crap if he didn't attend the game in Boston. There are too many fans here who cannot see the contradictions in there own bull****. As far as Tracy actions on the bench. Well he has never been that type of person. Sometimes it is good to have someone who doens't get excited by wins like this, becasue it can keep the group focused. However, it is the other things that are having a bad impact on the team.
After rewatching the game with the Boston broadcast instead of our own there were different angles that I think give him the benefit of the doubt. So I am going to reconsider my position of him sulking. A lot of times people make judgments about players and say so and so isn't or is this. The broadcasts only show so much and I have found that by going to the games you see a whole lot more than what shows on TV. Case in point, in the Boston broadcast you can see that neither McGrady or Wafer, after his made 3, went out of their way to find each other. That was weird to see and makes me wonder why. But then in another scene you can see that McGrady was one of the first one's off the bench celebrating Yao's put back. He had his fist up in the air and went out to high five. And in the subsequent time out you can see Artest with his arms around both Yao and McGrady in the huddle. I think we're getting too caught up in our disappointment with him and being unfair. As far as I could see in the second viewing, aside from the Wafer moment, he acted like he normally does when on the bench. He has never been a big rah rah guy.
McGrady was the first to give Yao a slap after the put back. Does this really need a discussion over? It's not like he chose not to travel with the team and instead take a day off. Beating the Dead Horse should be replaced with Beating the McGrady.
