http://ennui.shatters.net/celestia/ Celestia is a free real-time space simulation that lets you experience our universe in three dimensions. Unlike most planetarium software, Celestia doesn't confine you to the surface of the Earth. You can travel throughout the solar system, to any of over 100,000 stars, or even beyond the galaxy. All travel in Celestia is seamless; the exponential zoom feature lets you explore space across a huge range of scales, from galaxy clusters down to spacecraft only a few meters across. A 'point-and-goto' interface makes it simple to navigate through the universe to the object you want to visit. Very, very cool program.
lol... if only it was a game. I almost posted something to that effect in my original post. I should have known that A-Train would stop in
That thing is pretty cool. I liked going 3849127589 light years per second! I only checked it out a little though. I went to the sun and Earth, and I watched the Earth rotate and revolve. I'll check it out more later. Who knows, I may even check out Uranus. (bad joke, I know.)
I don't know why, but I can't seem to load the website that you posted keeley. It just sits there trying to connect for a while and then tells me it couldn't find the page.
