Krispy Kreme doughnuts are damn good, just don't eat them every morning. Original glazed have 11 grams of fat per doughnut! So you can have the same amount of fat in a Big Mac in 3 doughnuts. Be careful with these things, because they're addictive.
I probably can't eat donuts or kolaches, and I absolutely love kolaches. Why must y'all torment me like this???
i only like the regular glazed donuts @ krispy kreme. mmmmmm ham & cheese kolaches from shipley's. why isnt anyone here to take me to get donuts? uh oh, i got breakfast burritos so it's all good
Rocket River is correct. No one can touch Shipley's doughnuts. Their glazed are the best around....and the devil's food ones.....ahgghghghghhggh *drooling out the side of mouth*
KK doughnuts are more like a dessert than a breakfast food! Very good though. They make the best kolaches are Hrushka's in Ellinger (half way between Columbus and LaGrange). Real Czech home made! My mom still buys me doughnuts/kolaches and chocolate milk on Sunday mornings when I'm at home. She's the greatest!!!
The best kolaches are on the west side of League City at a placed called "The Kolache Bakery". Oh my, those things are soooo damn good!! Addicting as hell. I love them!
mmmm.... doughnuts.... Sadly, I've had to train myself not to like them. It's not like they're substantial food or anything - they don't fill you up or provide any energy, and we all know about the fat and calories. I've trained myself gradually to be repulsed by anything that greasy, sugary, and insubstantial... unless, of course, it's bavarian cream-filled.
My god, someone else sees the truth! Everybody I know loves Krispy Kreme, but I can't stand the damn things. Give me a dozen plain glazed from Shipley's first thing in the AM when they're still hot...
Just got some Krispy Kremes, eatin them right now I love all doughnuts though, Daylight DoNuts, KK, Shipleys, etc....
