Aren't we all glad we kept this fantastic duo together? Just think about, if we did trade T-Mac, we definitely would have not won 9 of the last 11. More than likely, the team would have never made the playoffs. We'd be heading for rebuilding mode.....AGAIN. Luckily, our management are not a bunch of idiots and decided to keep Tracy McLovin on the team. Smart move!

My question is, with the trade deadline coming up, who DON'T you want to trade from our team? Here is my list:

    Yao
    T-Mac
    Scola
    Brooks
    Landry
    Francis
    Deke

I based my list on importance to the team and what they can bring in the future. Also, guys like Francis and Deke were on there for favoritism. Both are our greatest supporters from the bench and all around cool guys. They add lots of positive energy to the bench. The guys I didn't list, let's just say I would not have a broken heart if they were traded. Although, it'd be hard to see Shane and Hayes go, you do have to give up good talent to get good talent.

    love the title

Gotta keep Yao, Mac, Alston, Landry, Brooks Scola. Gotta keep Deke, trading him now would be very disrespectful. Luther "turnover machine" Head is as good as bait in my book. Bonzi too. Everyone else is on the table

    Love the caption...

Here is my list of players I wouldn't trade:
    T-Mac
    Yao
    Rafer
    Scola
    Brooks
    Landry

    I would trade:
    Francis
    MJ
Luther "TO" Head - trade bait
No Offense Hayes - trade bait
    Novak
    Snyder

I would trade if the price is right:
Bonzi - toughness, no one else on the team has!
Batteir - If we get Artest or better
    Deke - Security

Close game yesterday. Don't forget our defense is what has kept us in these close games. Come playoff time we will be facing the best of the best and there will be moments where we will need to swarm them on defense. I'm not ready to give up Battier or Hayes TODAY. Defensively Scola, Brooks, and Landry still have a ways to go. Don't get me wrong, they are doing a solid job, but when you see the Suns, Spurs, or Mavs going on an 8 point run you know we will need a Hayes or Battier out there to stop the bleeding.

That said there's still plenty of season left for the rookies to improve on their D and foul troubles and earn their spot on both offense and defense.

Saying we wouldnt be doing as well if we made a trade completely depends on who we would have traded Tmac for. Certainly dumping him for the first bad offer would have made us worse, but that doesn't mean that there are no trade possibilities out there that could improve us. Anyway for me it has always been Tmac's yearly health concerns that make him tradeable, not his talent level or even effort.

agreed, MJ and Snyder would be happy to get some playing time again somewhere else, but i really doubt if we could get much from the trade, let's see what morey has in store for us

Yao and McGrady aren't going anywhere so they are a given. After them:

    Scola
    Landry
    Brooks
    Wells

    Everyone else is game.

It's not mine, I stole it.

Would not trade - Yao. For everyone else, if the right offer comes along...Obviously the chances of trading Battier or T-Mac or even one of our rookies are remote. So I would like to keep Yao, Scola, T-Mac, Brooks, Landry, Chuck, Deke, Bonzi. I wouldn't mind if somebody of the rest of the group is traded. T-Mac stays till season's end and gets shopped in the offseason.

by this time next year, tmac will be on the hot seat.

if we are a contender he is safe. if not, he is gone for ending contracts.

    why?

because if the rockets get out of his contract, and maybe one other guy like james, the rockets will have enough money under the cap to sign a max contract.

by the way, FA's in '09 include: kobe, wade, arenas, iverson, johnson, himilton.

I would like to hold on to Novak, if he got better at defense (which he most likely will) he could be a great addition to the team. He is a great shooter and I think the coaching staff can definately work with him.

    Only Yao is truly "untouchable."

    Look to trade ASAP:
    Francis
    James
    Wells

Dont give up on easy because of potential:
    Brooks
    Landry

I think Scola we can give up for the right price because of the emergence of Cloverfield Landry.
