just got home from the game. this loss had NOTHING to do with the crowd. it may not have been the most vocal but it was enough to give the home-team what little advntage a crowd realistically gives. of course i would love to see these guys get to their seats early or even on time and stand the f#$k up but really would that have given us a win?

i'm dissapointed, i'm still pissed about that yao ming play they took away, and i think we just blew a golden opportunity to go up 3- 0 and end it saturday, but i'm not about to panic. if anyone asked you before the series would you take going up 3-1 going into game 4 every single rocket fan would take that. it might be more of a series than we thought after game 2 but i'm still very confident that it's ours.

Well, I just emailed the link on Rockets.com (fanear@rocketball.com) asking them to get rid of the stupid anti-rowdiness message before the game.

I hope other people will do the same.

Please email fanear@rocketball.com (or anyone else at the Rockets) telling them to get rid of the anti-rowdiness message before the start of the next game.

I also told them to stop relying on music to hype the fans (but that I'm actually okay with T-Gray), but that's just me. It seems so much louder when the Rockets are on TV when compared to other arenas...

I have an observation: Dallas fans were on their feet when their team were trailing or leading. Our fans were on their a$$es even when we were leading. This is just too civil to be a basketball game!

LOL my area section 421 was rowdy even a fight and a heated arguement from a fan who did not like anothers vulgar mouth, kinda a playoff atmosphere in the UPPERS but the lowers is all about MONEY and what you have, not saying all fans in the lowers are deadbeats but the crowd needs to be louder......

Oh and giving out TOYOTA sales flyer books as you walked in today was DUMB AS HELL, no rally rags no nothing.

GET LOUD AND GET PROUD WE ARE STILL IN CONTROL OF THIS SERIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

im poor. i paid $61 to sit in the upper section. i stood up the whole game yelling, screaming, holding signs, and making as much noise as i could. it was a frustrating game to watch. i feel numb inside. i wish the rich folks will show up on time and cheer hard.

They wanted to take the pressure off of YAO at the beginning of the season, but in my mind the old Rudy T offense Occasionally would get Yao putting more pressure on the defense and more easy shots, remember how many more assists Yao got under Rudy`s style...They need to mix it up with there current system like around 50-50 because rudy`s offense at times could be too predictable...but on the other hand you have your highest % player getting more shots, and did you see those nice passes Yao made tonight for wide open 3`s when they doubled him. They need to do more of that!:p

It is the lower levels that creat homecourt atmosphere and that is why they made lower levels big at TC. But what is the point of doing that if you only have deadbeats fans filling those expensive seats? I barely heard any booing when they waived off Yao's basket and made several other bad calls. I can only judge from what I see on TV, 1500 miles away.

i'm completely exhausted from that game, all the screaming, yelling, clapping, stomping...basically anything i could do to make noise. i sat down at half time and the end of the game, but that's about it.

what's so depressing is that i almost feel cheated out of my money, being a student who can't afford to get decent upper bowl seats more than once or twice the entire playoffs. the team came out flat the entire first half, played an amazing 3rd quarter, and then proceeded to watch the mavs score 20 points without any sort of response. granted the refs were KILLING us today, but it really felt like tmac disappeared in the 4th. and when he was to be found again, it was too little too late.

yes, the lower bowl seemed dead, spare a few true fans. from where i was sitting, section 428, the people i was around made just as much noise as i did, and at times i seriously couldn't even hear myself. the TC crowd may have been somewhat disappointing, but ultimately it was the play of the rockets that proved to be the most disheartening.

Yea...Im still tryin to figger out what the hell all these ppl are whining about.

Im watching the replay while Im processing/editing the game...adn even now..inthe 4th quarter...I haer a very loud crowd chant for DE-FENSE...over and over.

All you whiners...tellme what it is yall expect?

    You want a SAC crowd??

    It aint happening...

Just cause you cant hear waht You expect out of a crowd doesnt mean it is dead...Ive heard crowd noise througout this game...much louder than it hd bene during regular season.

ALSO.....when you make a blanket statement about hwo EVERYONE in Houston sucks and we should be ashamed....Why dont you keep in mind that most of us diehards cant get tickets to go see it...we arent the lowe bowl ppl that seem to be drawing your ire...

    those types dont post here...

and frankly...Im sick and tired of you whining...

and smoothie...for even suggesting that we as a city dont deserve to have the team...welcome to my IL putz:mad:

thats the other thing that most whiners here dont seem to realize....the microphones the announcers use are designed to cut back on outside noise so that only the person speaking into it comes thru good...

IF you want to hear the crowd noise...why dont you ask the Rockets to put up open omni mikes to catch the noise from the arena...just so you can quit feeling inferior to other teams fans...

i was at the game tonight and the crowd seemed great ( well atleast from up there)

maybe its because we were down the whole time, i'm sure it was quiet when we were whooping on them in dallas

IF YOU NEED A CROWD TO GET YOU TO PLAY YOUR BEST THAN YOU ARE ALWAYS GOING TO BE AN UNDERACHEIVING TEAM! Sacramento has a great home crowd, and yet they couldn`t win when they outplayed the Lakers!

True competitors only know one way to play, all out all the time, just because they play sports from an intrinsic point of reference. I.e., Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, Larry Bird...and they don`t have to be stars....RYAN BOWEN, BRUCE BOWMAN (SP) A.C. GREEN, SCOTT SKILES,

WHEN YOUR ON THE PLAYGROUND THERE ARE NO CROWDS FOR THE MOST PART YOU JUST WANT TO WIN TO STAY ON THE COURT PLAYING, AND BECAUSE YOU HAVE EGO THAT LOSING MAKES YOU HATE TO LOSE, I MEAN REALLY HATE TO LOSE BECAUSE YOU THINK YOU ARE BETTER THAN THE OTHER TEAM!:)

We lost because Roger Clemens was in the crowd. Everyone knows the Astros can't score, so that Astros karma just carried onto the Rockets.

I have to get the feeling that they drown out the noise or something because the place was rocking with every shot and every call tonight.

I was in section 113 and after every 3 the whole section i was in was doing the 3 point sign and was going crazy for every basket. It was completly rocking in that place for every minute up till we started giving points away at a record pace.

Unfortunatly there was nothing we could cheer for when Dallas was going on a 20-0 run. There really wasn't.

I have to say the place was definetly loud...my section was rowdy and standing up for every made shot and high fiving each other...

Definetly has to be something about the TV lowering the volume so the commentary comes out fine.

I thought the crowd was pretty loud up until the 4th quarter where the mavs just really quieted the crowd with the big run. I mean that can deflate any crowd. We did it to the mav fans in game 1. Game 2 was close throuighout the entire game.

Plus like me I was having the deer in headlight syndrome. All I could do was worry and pray we'd come back. I lost my my rage and energy just being scared. :(.

And this was all from my living room where I can usually go nutz w/o anyone staring at me.
