We are still in control. Just need to come out and win on Saturday. The crowd better make some noise. They were DEAD tonight. No wonder we have such a poor home record.

Quit whining about the crowd, the players lost the game...the PLAYERS gave up a 20-0 4th quarter run.

Not much to cheer about when you are getting outscored 20-0 in the 4th quarter.

    Sheesh !!

maybe because i don't live in houston i feel this way but...

houston might not be the right city for the rockets anymore. if we can't get a decent crowd for a game like tonights then we will never get this team pumped up.

I'm glad we don't have home court "advantage" this year. it might hurt more than it helps.

I agree. Just a quick question, can anyone tell me why the heck JVG doesn['t tell them to POUND IT INTO YAO EVERY SINGLE POSSESSION????

I mean that's our game plan right (inside-out). I can think of probably ONE FREAKIN TIME when YAO actually posted up. What's the point of having YAO in there if you don't post up?

    Just doesnt make sense....

The crowd is pathetic. Wussiest bunch in the NBA playoff. The Dallas crowd turned their gym to a mad house, and all we can do is this symphony hall? Pathetic.

I was at Game 3 last year and it was prob the best Rockets game I had been to...the crowd was so alive you could tell they willed the Rockets to that win..they were the 6th man. Hard to tell how energetic it was watching it on tv tonight...so how was it compared to last year...for those who were at games 3 and/or 4 last season and were at game 3 tonight?

In any case, this team has seemed to thrive from adversity, from being the underdog, grinding it out. Getting a sweep against the Mavs would have been a miracle. So, the home team got a little dose of reality tonight, they came out w/ less intensity and focus and the Mavs capitalized. Still they had the game in control and let a bad call...a freakin horrendous, turning point call get to them and choked the lead and win away. So now its a series again, and the pressure...somewhat...is back on the Rockets to win game 4 and take command of the series. They've stepped up time and again this season..no reason to think they won't now. And you can bet JVG and T-Mac will not let tonight's debacle happen again.

The Rockets crowd is like the Club section at Minute Maid Park. Too many golf claps.

You are Houston Rocket fans, you are part of the crowd, you suck too. Please include yourself in all insults related to Rocket fans. It's not they, it's we. Get it right.

The Mavs were heavily favored against us so it would have been unrealistic to expect a sweep -the Mavs were bound to win one game...

Well, it is the "right" town as long as Les is making the 3rd most in the NBA in revenues, and having the highest jump in team value from last year.

The TC is rolling in some nice revenue for Les Alexander and the Rockets, he wanted the arena this way, with soo many distractions and nice ammenities to make the team even more money.

Houston is VERY profitable for Les, he can't get this in Kansas City or St. Louise.

But as I said in the original game thread: now I know why they say Houston is a football town, go to a Texans game and you will see how crazy people are going.

In fact, even the sorry franchise known as the Astros garnered more support/attention in their run during the playoffs last year.

May be Houstonians are just bored with the Rockets being the only franchise in the city that has done anything in the past, and may be they are more interested in seeing the Astros or the Texans make a run in the post-season instead.

Regardless, that is just the basketball fan base we have right now. The TC was clearly built to attract a certain "clientele", and apparently those are the ones that are filling up the lower-levels of the arena. So they are getting what they wanted: Fat Cats!

You get corporate fillers in a fair weather town. The situation was best put when an LA columnist calls out the fans in Houston and rightly so...
