I think there is something very few people are considering. Last year was the teams first year running this system. I expect them to be a lot better at it next year. I thing there will be a lot more natural movement. If you look at the end of the season last year and how the team and the players started to develope in the system, I'm sure you'll agree there were great strides. I saw players who had no clue as to how they would fit in carve out a role for themselves (i.e. Shandon, Walt, and even to an extent Matt(2nd in 3pt%)). I don't see how so many bad judgements can be made so fast on a system that I think paid bid dividens in its first year. IMO when you add to that the developement of Francis, Mobley, and Anderson sucess is not far off.

I am as optimistic as most people, but even you must agree with what my pappy used to say :

"....... if you want to make corn bread, and you don't have any cornmeal, then you can bang and pound ....... you can mash and mix ..... you can try and cuss all day long ..... but boy, in the end ...... you have with exactly what you started out with ...... no cornbread."

Now, it is more likely I suppose, that we will get farther ahead than last year, be more progressive and even surprise ourselves a bit, but jcage, ..... we will still have the holes at the end of the season that need fillin' now.

But if they made NIKEstrad GM, they'd have the best paper team in the league [IMG].

As of right now, this team has:
    1. Bad defense
    2. No "prime-time" low post threat

It's bad enough just having 1 of those holes, but both is a sticky situation.

The more lefties on your team, the better.
Collier is Seven Foot and Left Handed. How can you go wrong?
    Trade or bench Kenny Thomas.

What about a Wiz for Loy Vaught trade?

We have Carlos Rogers to satisfy the bad luck quotient.

You are right. Ok, how about Wiz and Drew for Sprewell?

Great point jcage. You're not John Cage from Ally McBeal are you?

I think what people don't realize is that we will always be ahead of most teams because we have what will be one of the best 3 or 4 players in the league in Francis. Add to that a very good coach, a front office who has a clear direction, and you have a winning formula. People are way overreacting to this draft. The Clips and Grizzlies have had top 5 picks for much of the past decade, and, well, they're still getting those picks. That should tell you something.

Huh, uh huh huh (think Butthead).

    Freak watches Ally McBeal.
