anyone going to pick it up it came out yesterday. i saw a list of fighters and I wasnt at all impressed hopefully the gameplay makes up for it, but the reviews overall have been terrible. local kid juan diaz is in there and so is chavez jr.? why is chavez jr is in there i have no clue. no mayweather and of course no de la hoya, who is still the face of boxing today. i'll probably rent it, it will be a while till the new fight night rolls around.
Just to add. I think the name Don King really hurts 2k on this. First of all You wont get any of De La Hoyas boxers on your game and secondly he has a worst rep than david stern.
David Stern? Not to hijack, but one story comes out from a convicted felon, and all the sudden David Stern is a bad guy? I think he, by far, is the best leader in sports. He has made the NBA global.
I actually had hope for Prize Fighter . Anyone remember this : In high school I spent many hours playing the hell out of this game . I loved it . It looks like I'll have to wait for the new Fight Night game for some good boxing on 360 .
Oh hell yea. You remember that code to get the green guy. What was his name? the beast or somethin like that. I remember alternating jabs high and low and killing it, either that or i just got in and alternated uppercuts left and right.
It looks like the first Fight Night. 2K arrived a little late to this party. They're throwing a house party while the parents are away, and EA is setting up for a VIP party at a club. 2K could have sold more with the "boxing is coming to 2K" hype, but that was derailed with EA's Mike Tyson announcement.

Yeah you just had to name your boxer THE_BEAST , thats the code . I cant believe I still remembered that , lol . The alternating uppercuts were freaking awesome . I would play my cousin and break out the uppercuts , and he would get all pissed ! hahaha .
theyre stripping the actual gameplay and starting it up from scratch instead of building on what they had before. should be waaay better than the old fight night since it will be designed for next gen only and unlike round 3 theyre actually taking their time and not rushing it. cant wait. could do without iron mike.
