I am a huge fan of this guy and we have to find a way to get him. I think we can beat anyone with his dude in P&R with CP3 and Harden. He's a good shooter, rebounder, excellent post player, and make great decision with the ball. I am willing to overpay for this dude. what's yall's take?
I loved Sabonis in the draft... He was the one I wanted the Rockets to get with one of their two first round picks (before they both disappeared via a trade veto and a meaningless 8th seed playoff berth). But what are you proposing? The Rockets don't have much at all to give... not even close in the asset department for a good young player on the second year of a rookie deal.
Sabonis and Myles Turner are Indiana's front-court of the future. I don't think they're interested in trading him away. Not to mention, the Rockets don't really have anything to offer to a rebuilding team like the Pacers.
This belongs in the random trade thread really .... Dude has great footwork .... in the PNR and defensively. I'd love to see him at the 4 spot with Capela & Harden. No chance of getting him as he's under contract thru 2019 and will then become an RFA - I'm fairly certain that Indy would match just about any offer at that point .... and Indy wont take Ryno and a #1 for him. Just aint happening.
He did well on OKC and he's doing great on the Pacers this year... Sam Presti always seems to draft the right players with his 1st rounders... Meanwhile, Morey is dealing away 1st rounders to make up for his bad contracts and when he does have them, he goes out and drafts Royce "BeWell" White, and Terrence "hobokicker" Jones. Now he's trying to trade for Nikola Mirotic who he drafted back in 2011 to replace Ryan Anderson (another terrible contract).
