Im officially a member as of August 3rd. Their blades are excellent. I shave about 3 to 4 times a week. I am on the 4 blades a month plan with my wife and splitting them.

The Wife and I use it. I have little facial growth and it's mostly patchy so this was right up my ally. Shave handles are weighted nicely and have a nice ergonomic grip. Blades are pretty good maybe a step bellow ProGlide blades, but not that big of a drop off.

It sounds like you're throwing money away.

Yeah the blades are nice. I've been with them for about two years now. Any cheaper alternatives?

I use the schick hydro 5. From reviews they are better than the dollar shave club blades and they only cost 2 bucks a head at costco.

I have a straight blade but never use it. I use a double edge safety razor. Straight blades are not that awesome in practice. I only bought it because I have a huge japanese stone collection and can hone it to perfection.

I started using it last March, I got a random email where my first order of the 4 blade razor and handle was free, liked it, got my 2nd pack after 2 months, it's Sep and barely on 3rd blade on my first pack, I was able to stop the subscription for 4 months since I don't shave as much.

    Have no complaints about them

I always wanted to make one but it requires buying a contact wheel that cost a few hundred bucks. Definitely on my bucket list.

Buy a vintage Gillette (Slim, SuperSpeed, New LC, etc) double edge razor for $20, or a modern Merkur or Edwin Jagger DE razor for $30. Buy 100 Astra, Personna Reds, Rapira or similar quality DE blades for $10. You should get 3-4 shaves per blade.

And yes, Dorco blades are crap. I'd rather drag barbed wire or broken glass across my face to shave...

This just seems like the normal price. I try to use the cheap ones, but go back to Gillette.

you guys just buy direct from Dorco USA - its the blades and that DSC uses and repackages/brands. Its cheaper to buy directly on their website. I've been buying from Dorco and love their blades. They constantly have sales for their stuff all the time.

Do any of you use a razor case? Not for travel, just for home.

I don't see the point. A Gillette Fusion pack of 4 heads costs about $17 and lasts four months. Unless you're really counting pennies, objectively speaking there isn't much incentive to switch.

It's probably closer to 4 bucks a month, 1 buck plus a small S&H... but sure.... It's being thrown away.

These are the blades Dollar Shave club uses and over charges for. There are decent.....but are not as good as Gillette Fusion and ProGlide.
