how many of you sit through these on your DVD's? i've tried but they never seem to say anything interesting. i don't think i've sat through a whole commentary complete throughout the movie. i think it would be a lot better if they'd just have interesting tidbits popup in a bubble.
popups during regular viewing would be annoying!! Oh well, I guess they can set a turnoff popoups function just like subtitles.
I watch a ton of these. The TV Show ones are always my favorite though, with the Cast commentary. Arrested Development ftw.
WTF?! You never watched popup video? FOR SHAME OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH OOOOOOOOOOH WEHHHHH OOOOOOOOOOOOOOH POP UP VIDEOOOOOOOO
The commentary on the Simpsons DVDs is great. Francis Ford Coppola does some interesting commentary on the three Godfather movies.
I do when it's good. The best ones are for tv since it's a shorter period of time, I absolutely love the Futurama and Simpsons commentaries the most.
I haven't watched a ton of these, but I admit I actually really enjoyed the commentary track by Chris Ferguson, Chris Moneymaker, Johnny Chan, and Phil Hellmuth on the Rounders special edition DVD. Of course, I'm addicted to that movie, having watched it 3 nights in a row....
Dude Wheres My Car Commentary consists of Stiffler and the director or producer or whoever getting drunk and I think even smoking some bud. All the while Kutcher is trying to provide genuine intellectual BS.
The commentary during This Is Spinal Tap was hilarious. They three main cast members did it in "costume" so to speak as if they were watching a real documentary made on their band 20 years ago.
note, regular viewing. I was under impression you were proposing popups in replacing director's commentary?
