hmm let me try to get this straight you won tickets via Maloney's Pony (whatever his/her nick is) in that contest they are saying they cant give you these tickets now because someone is willing to buy them so they offer the Cats/Hornets games instead now you may not be able to go to one if not both games so you are trying to decide how much you can get for the tickets for the game(s) you could not attend. now there is nothing wrong with that, but you are getting the tickets for FREE from someone as a part of this board whats stopping them from just giving you one of the game and giving the other pair away themselves to someone else on this board after reading your initial post? Or for that matter they could claim that since you cannot attend bobcats game they could just pick someone else as their winner of the contest. personally i think its bad mojo/karma whatever you want to call it if you sell tickets (even if they are GREAT seats) that you received for free and its not like the person giving them to you wouldnt know either since they also post on this board and probably already read about your intent.
You are correct in your first few statements. BUT! I have been emailing the 'broker' and have presented the idea that I MIGHT not be able to attend the Hornets game since it is on a wednesday, which in college.. are pretty busy days. I asked him if it would be okay to sell them if I couldn't make it. He basically told me: "The tickets are yours. After you pick them up, you can do whatever you want with them.. sell, give away, etc." I may end up going to the Hornets game if all is clear, but that I am not sure of. But I had to make a decision asap, so I wanted to find out all of the facts.. like.. if I do end up having to sell them.. will i be able to.
ah ok cool if the Maloney's Pony or whoever is fine with you selling them than its a different story it just seemed logical to me that MP would want to give the tickets away to someone else if you were going to sell them that way he/she can get even more exposure for their ticket business. As for the tickets i think you will be able to sell them but probably at a heavily reduced rate. Maybe 100 per ticket? I would take that personally since you did not have to pay for the tickets in the first place. If it was up to me though I would try to make at least 100 per ticket if I couldnt get that then I would probably just give them away here to at least someone I know is a fan and at least get some good karma points that way. oh and chances are now that you may not get good offers here since everyone knows you got the tickets for free I would try craigslist/ebay instead
You might be able to sell them for 100 each...thats about it (otherwise MP would be keeping those too)
I'm perplexed, are you going to tonights game? If you are, can you start a brawl and get the whole jazz team suspended so they can't be in the playoffs so every team in the west can move up a spot and houston can be in the playoffs?
i hope you decided to pass up the little extra dough and go to that game last night...you can't put a price on a performance like that
