This post is for people that feel they know a peice of basketball information that could possibly make people say "Damn, I didn't know that." Here's mine: -In an attempt to bulk Shawn Bradley up the 76ers made him eat 10,000 calories a day and he was still unable to gain weight. -While in HS in Chicago, Michael Finley won a contest to go 1 on 1 with Michael Jordan and neither player will tell who won but afterwards MJ said "See you in a few years." -Charles Barkley was going to pay Dirk Nowitski's way to go to Auburn College after being so impressed with him at a Nike camp. -Lisa Leslie scored 101 pts in a high school game and they all came in one half.
"-Lisa Leslie scored 101 pts in a high school game and they all came in one half." didnt the opposing team refuse to come out for the 2nd half?
Jordan wouldnt play finley one on one, he feared he might get injured, so they played horse, and then had a session where finley tried to gaurd Jordan, it was not pretty. Finley had a jerry curl. I saw it on TNT.
-A form of basketball was played for hundreds of years before modern basketball was introduced. The remuneration was also quite different from what today's stars get. In Mayan times (300 - 900 AD), a player who scored a goal could claim the property of any spectator that he could catch. -Basketball is the most popular spectator sport in the Philippines, but not the USA, where more people attend professional football, baseball and bowling matches.
Lisa Leslie can kick Francis, Moochie, and Mobley's ass (fist fight). I think that about sums it up. She's not feminine in size. That's why she dominates all those ladies. Especially in H.S.
That will probably go down as one of the worst trades in NBA history. What did the Bucks see in Traylor anyway?
No doubt. I don't understand the rationale behind that one...... Undersized, overweight power forward for a 7 foot guy who is athletic and can shoot the 3 like a guard. That's a smart trade.
Well, they never actually fought each other, of course. But in an LA at Sac game I went to last year, Yolanda was actually playing her so physically that Leslie did, in fact, start crying a bit near the end of the game. Of course, LA won anyway because Mwadi Mabika and Delisha Milton saved her ass. Yolanda clearly won the individual matchup, as she often does. Griffith's the toughest player in the league, bar none.
