Also serving as a little representation of Texas State for any of my Bobcats out there! Hopefully you enjoy and as always, I'd love any feedback or criticism!
I don't see any shots of Diversions or WRT, or any portraits of LBJ, Heloise or G.W. Bailey, so fail. Aside from that, this is a C minus. Sounds like it starts off discussing the first part of a generic college experience: which is good because that makes it relatable to a broad teen audience. (The song and slow hip hop stuff isn't that compelling creatively or commercially, so I'm just considering what would have made the video and comprehensive product better.) The second verse should have followed that same tack and probably gotten a little more specific about a generic college experience (parties, exams, sex, whatever); and the third verse should have talked about job interviews and graduation: but instead you start pumping SWTSU, which I think narrows the appeal and put it at risk of becoming admissions video filler three months from now. Instead of getting strong-armed into whoring their seal and signage, you should have figured out a way to make Texas State more of a metaphor. The video needs a lot more dramatization scenes for the lyrics instead of you two.
