According to Bleacher Report. Chicago Prefers to trade Rose apposed to Butler. Rose the former MVP needs a change of scenery he is still a great player. Should the Rockets give up less than his value and get an expiring deal for a point guard who used to be so great? D'Antoni is known for reviving point guards. Maybe he can really coexist with James.
Not saying that i'd be against bringing in D. Rose, but which pg's career was 'revived' under D'Antoni?
Rose is one of the worst starting players in the NBA. He can keep his out of shape ass, poor efficiency, non existent defense and sex belt in Chicago. He would be an absolute disaster in Houston and a MDA offense, he refuses to ever push the offense.
Why wouldn't someone post a link with a thread like this? Is it you because knew the source was garbage? Bad form, OP.
Honestly I would trade ariza and bev for Snell, rose and future 1st rd pick. #Flexibility 22m expiring after next year when the cap rises and there is like 15 stars set to be FAs. Plus you gain another future asset. It would appear to be a win now "risk" but more about maintaining flexibility to build around harden. Line our self's up with cap room for 2 max slots next off season, and potentially more.
This might a little unfair, but to me he's Brandon Roy at this point. I wouldn't touch that contract, but if he wants to essentially audition for a spot on a much lower salary (similar to what Roy did in Minnesota), then I'm all ears.
He's probably just a salary dump at this point. He's not terrible, just average now, think Dwill. I don't think they will have to give up any assets just because he still has potential to be an above average player, but won't get any worth while assets in return either. If the Rockets can't sign any big names this off season and decide to wait till next year then I'd love for Howard to opt in, and to trade for Rose. Keeps us competitive this next season and gives us a big heap on cap space next off season.
