A friend told me today that Johnson was suspended by the NBA for accepting a scholarship from a coach to play ball at a private high school. This might make him lean more towards declaring for the draft this year. I have not had the opportunity to see the kid play, but lots of people (at this site) have nothing but praise for his talent. Does anybody know anything about his personality (is he a Marbury or Rider)? Do you al think that the Rockets would draft this kid if he were available at our time on the clock? Would he warrant the trade that was mentioned in the other thread with the Clips? My oppinion is that if he can live up to the hype (another Odom or McGrady) then we should do whatever we can to draft him.
Well I just found out the suspension was for just one game, but the question still remain o we want this kid?
I think he has a better shot then either odom or mcgrady, but i dont think he's as strong. He could develop into a great player. I dont know about his ball handling skills, but he seems like a natural shooter/ scorer. Plus , he is 6'9".
