Actually, we need the 2nd seed. You know why? With the second seed, we can actually choose who we face. If we might get Utah at the 7th seed, we lose the last 2 games, or the last game, depending on how late it is in the season.
i'm telling you, j.r. smith just does not miss when i am watching him play. he's hit a 3, a jumper on fisher and then i see him raise up for the 28 footer before the half and i figure it just has to go in. and it does! he really has to be somewhere in the 60-70% range on shooting when i watch. he should send me part of his next contract.
ugh, i was with you until you told me why you thought we need the second seed. do YOU wanna know why we need it? because the second and 3rd seed doesn't have to play the lakers in the second round. and in that match up the second seed would get HCA which would put the rockets (very strong home team) into a great position to make the WCF. as long as denver loses their last 2 (tonight vs lakers, then against blazers), and we win our last 3, we should be in.
It won't be easy! Billups' playoff experience might play a big role. And, Denver is more likely to have HCA.
lakers shooting piss poor but getting all the calls, big surprise. 34 foul shots compared to denver's 18 lol.
Lakers are going to be a tough out especially now with bynum back. Kobe is the best 4th quarter player in the game. If the game is close in the 4th you can pretty much hand LA the win.
It would be dumb for the Rockets to purposefully not take the 2nd seed. Why would you not want two series with home court in the playoffs?? And honestly, I just don't see this team EVER tanking a game for playoff standings. It's not in their blood. Denver looks like a team Portland can beat, so we might be holding our destiny in our own hands here.
I see no reason at all why we would not take the 2nd seed unless Utah were 7th. We have to be the 2nd or 3rd because we sure as hell don't want the Lakers in the second round.
