The difference in reaction on foxnews and msnbc is shocking foxnews: minimal endorsement, poor speech msnbc: powerful, great speech news channels are so annoying
I noticed this too. Although, they weren't really suggesting it was a poor speech but more or less it was a minimal endorsement she made out of necessity. The Foxnews analysts were ticked off she didn't mention Barack's character at all and just used catchy cliches that you could have applied to John Edwards or anybody else that was under consideration at one point.
I thought she really delivered on emphasizing the unity of being a Democrat. Great jabs at McCain, loved the twin cities joke.
Extremely impressed with Hillary tonight. If Obama doesn't win in Nov, everyone will talk about how Hillary could probably carried the election for him. Oh well, we will have to see in Nov.
For me, that was the line of the night. The immediate reaction releases from McCain's campaign about her are so pathetic it's disgusting. Why don't they just shut up for like, 30 minutes, instead of insulting our intelligence so quickly?
Hillary is simply positioning for 2012. She didn't come out strong for Obama. She's still a power hungry, sore loser. And now I'm hearing that Bill will snub Obama's acceptance speech? That tells you all you need to know, right there
Hillary must be devastated right now, having fought her entire life in hopes of becoming the first female President, only to be cheated out of it by a lesser stag and then dismissed entirely as a candidate for VP. She is head and shoulders the superior candidate as compared to Obama and Biden. It's not even close. And now she has to suffer the indignity of speaking at Obama's convention. It's a sad ending to her career, having to lift up the guy that 1) got fewer votes than her and 2) isn't half the candidate she is. Her body language and tone of voice weren't exactly convincing tonight. She was forced to do this, and everyone knows it.
All the more easy to take the bet. Nobody's threatening your horse-riding, armor-wearing SCA privileges. On topic: best speech I've ever seen from Hillary, period. Bar none. Lots of grace and big picture from her. Were you in it for me, or in it for them? And everyone, don't lose the awesome twin cities blast. LOL. McCain should go ahead and print up the posters.
