God, I wish we could get Portland in the first round. Against Pryzbilla and Oden, Deke could probably play all day if Yao got into foul trouble.
rockets use Deke on;y if yao must rest for fight. If yao need no rest Deke must cheer from the side. Deke is father of the team and direct his team from side.

I would say in today's game Yao Shaq and Howard are the more "traditional" centers. They are different than what would have been called a traditional center 20 years ago because they are all more solid and less lithe.
I think RA is getting Deke a few spot minutes here and there to get Yao some rest and to develop some sort of chemistry with his teammates for the playoffs. I don't see Deke playing more thank spot minutes but he is a very valuable option off the bench as a defensive stopper with size. Of course that all depends on the matchups.
Exactly, I don't know how they came to the conclusion that Howard is not a traditional center just because his game isn't as polished as some elite Centers they named. In todays game he is a traditional center.
Let's hope that RA is preparing Deke to play about 8-10 minutes a game during the playoffs so that we can have a rested and effective Yao in all games at the last half of the 4th quarter!
Yeah, that's what I was referring to in the first place. Obviously, DHoward isn't like the centers from the 80's and 90's but he is as close as you can get from a traditional center with the way the position itself is changing.
