i cant lie.. the Rockets werent very good defensively...but to be honest the Warriors were shooting the lights out on difficult shot after difficult shot after difficult shot. I was so FCKING angry during this game. It seemed like GS maybe only missed 7-8 possessions scoring. I've never seen shooting from a backcourt like that. Ellis and Curry werent even driving it in, they would just step back, being decently-guarded, and drop crazy J's alllllllllllllllllllll night long and never cooled off. GS didnt heavily out-rebounded the shorter Rockets, Houston drove like crazy, shot tons of FTs, made a good percentage - but you know what I think hurt us tonight?

Aarn f'ing Brooks. The guy took NO good shots all night. ALL NIGHT. what were those stupid 3s he kept jacking? Was he looking for his own points? His passing wasnt there, his ball-handling was awful (kicked out of bounds around a minute left while still in the gAME?!?!), and I...I just think he killed us. Battier was a complete no-show on offense, and altho his D on Ellis wasnt awful...the guy scored at will on him so wtvr.

im so freakin mad. I thought well, we lost to LA, but we can take the Warriors. Its early in the same, and you think this sht doesnt matter - but it does. All these games add up to Ws and to playoff seeding, and we couldnt ever EVER EVER shut them down for more than one possession.

I don't remember the last time I saw a game like this... unless it was vs Golden State or Phoenix in the last few years. dammit. Now I'm not even looking forward to opening night because I feel like we'll just find some stupid way to lose already.

Golden State's shooting was far hotter than usual. Ellis was in a zone and hit several difficult, well-defended shots. So I am not overly despondent.

Well...good luck with making the Playoffs with Yao sitting every consecutive games...and there are MANY CONSECUTIVE games in the schedule. I think what the Rockets did is stupid....they need to rethink and understand it is OKAY to play Yao normal minutes. He looks absolutely healthy and fine imo. Being cautious is one thing, but being over-cautious is just stupid.

Like I said, Yao was injured because they play him way too many minutes and not letting him rest...it's not about how much he play..but about when to substitute him out...you can play him long minutes in burst of minutes not long stretch of minutes.

agreed. Whats the use of resting a player for full games if you're not even sure that your regular players besides him can make the playoffs? We're not assured of anything, so why are we "pacing" ourselves? Play him normal minutes, dont abuse his time, and everything should be fine.

This "no back-to-backs" rule is stupid, it will hurt us, it will hurt team chemistry, and it will cause us to lose unnecessary games - maybe even like tonight. Yao never played great against a quick Warriors team, but we couldve used a bit of his sixe and a bit of his high-percentage shots tonight. AND it will help him get his timing back! How can he get back ito game shap if hes missing a game every week????

    Miss JVG

I miss JVG. Let a guy shoot about 80% and too many turnovers. Where is the defense? What a ugly game it was!

I dont miss JVG, would would only be scoring half as many points and still wouldda lost. I dont think even JVG can make a team with a 6'5 center stop giving up layups

even though we lost, the game was actually very entertaining.

when JVG coached, it would be boring even when we won.

remember when we'd only put up 33 points by halftime?

at least we lost in entertaining fashion.

What do you think is the reason why we are so bad on defense? Is it because our coaching staff simply does not emphasize defense enough? The fact that we don't have good defensive players? Or a combination of both?

There's probably this thing called insurance that isn't paid if Yao gets hurt after doctor's orders are ignored.

if you want to see an ugly game, watch most of the ones JVG coached. The defense was always there, but twice a game there would be a 10-min span with no scoring, heh. We were killed by Utah because not only did we not have great offensive weapons, but we had a great defensive coach with no offensive game plan.

I wouldnt say give me Adelman any day over JVG, but I definitely wouldnt say it the other way either. I dont miss those days at all.

From what I saw, we really didn't play nearly as bad defensively as the score would indicate. The Warriors just wouldn't miss a ******* thing. I mean we stopped the break for the most part, we didn't give up too much penetration, and we even covered the jumpers decently well, but they wouldn't effing miss. I saw it happen on more than a few occasions that Monta would drain a J with Battier draped all over him.

its true. and its not about excuses, we didnt play a great game... but I dont think we played a bad one. They just raped us with jumpers and it kept raining all game.

I dont think it was that bad. A guy got super hot and we couldnt stop him. Had we had proper rotations and players subbing in and out on him we might have stopped him early instead of letting him get hot and then trying to stop him. Then his whole team got hot and it was over.

YES IT WAS. WE WERE GETTING KILLED ON THE BOARDS?

Why Brad Miller is playing 3 minutes and Jordan Hill is playing ZERO while JARED ****ING JEFFRIES is playing over 16 baffles my mind.

Its simple. FORCE HIM TO GET THE BALL OUT OF HIS ****ING HANDS.

Force Dorrell Wright or Rodney Carney beat us.
