I'm sorry but that statement right there just proves women's irrationality. Men are logical and rational human beings who think clearly.

Hah.. when I hit the casinos, my numbers in Roulette are:
    1 - T-Mac
    11 - Yao
    22 - Drexler
    34 - Hakeem

Hakeem hit for me last time :D

I've always had a hard time understanding what in the hell he's saying in interviews. Good thing he's a baller not a politician.

Him and Yao confuse me at times. I don't know how they were able to understand each other when Yao practiced with Dream.

Mods, please change title of thread to "Defending Hakeem's Legacy" or "Defending Dream's Honor". I thought this thread was about how Dream could not be defended, even by the supposed best big defenders in the league.

*2 cents* Dumb old lady :D

Hey now. I've been called irrational one time, and that was when I told a Mavs fan that Dirk was a flopping fairy who had no chance at any rings, ever, and that Mark Cuban needs to end his ass-kissing Dirk-lovefest if he wants to ever win.

Oh, and I was also told I was ignorant and illogical for explaining all the inconsistencies and phantom calls in the '05 first round. Look who had the last laugh! (Thanks, Tim Donaghy!)

I've met so many guys who think they know a lot about sports, and think I know nothing about sports because I'm a female. They don't know any NBA history and know nothing about the current Rockets team, except that "they won last night."

Sure I have irrational hatred for Bruce Bowen, Matt Harpring, Boozer, and that little team in Dallas, but I've always found it to be necessary.

There's a bunch of women on clutchfans who know a lot about sports and the NBA. Hayesfan is more knowledgeable of the X's and O's than 99% of the posters. Power to all sports loving women! :]

FWIW, according to my older brother, before Dream had led the the Rox to win 2 rings, the general concensus among the national media and NBA fandom, at the time, was that Hakeem was the 2nd best Center behind Ewing.

I'm no sexist but c'mon now, we've all been in one of these situations before. Whenever some clueless irrational woman like this challenges you or insults a legend, you almost don't even know how to respond. If you open your mouth and speak with strong convictions about something you should at least have half a clue. The woman in this example violated this rule.

LOL, am I the only one when opening up the thread thought it was about HOW TO defend Hakeem...

Anyway, yeah a lot of people, who are outside Houston and casual fans, don't acknowledge that Hakeem was that good...it pisses me off sometimes...

But the thing that REALLY pisses me off is that the so-called analysts consider Shaq to be a better player than Hakeem...that pisses me off...Hakeem had such an all-around game that could be argued to be the BEST center of all-time.

Sometimes I think it's because Hakeem didn't play for NY, LA or Boston
