yeah..i was blown away!!! seriously. the dentist was a close friend of a friend of mine..so it was a personal referral. of all people you don't wanna pull that crap with, it's someone in my position in that deal. the reaction of the second dentist and his hygenist was hilarious. they were trying to be diplomatic, but were basically saying, "yeah...she lied to you!!" it would have set me back around $2000.
Uggh, I hate that stuff. It's what we have at home right now but luckily we're about out. It just creates way too much foam....I have to spit 3 or 4 times mid-brushing or I feel like I'm gonna choke. Also, that is the stuff with orange stripes that was mentioned earlier.
MadMax, Where was this second dentist? How much did they charge? Were they nice? Did they like to poke at your gums for ****s and giggles? (as you can probably tell, I'm deathly afraid of going to the dentist) Thanks!
you know, i think it was my childhood one that screwed my parents over on money. i know my recent one, i could see it so i knew it was real. i really like my current dentist but i always had a feeling my childhood one was money grubbing. my sis ate WAY more candy than me and NEVER had a cavity so i knew something was up.
I was scammed (parents as well) when I was a kid ~ unnecessary fillings, poor procedures (using lots of novocain on both sides of my mouth) etc...
Another Crest user here, no complaints. I do remember using Rembrandt for a brief period back in like fourth grade. Best tasting toothpaste (IMHO) I ever had, but for whatever reason my mom quit buying it after a couple of tubes and I never tried it again.
I use crest instead of going to the dentist. I really need to find a new one, but for now, I've just stopped going to my usual one. Every time I've gone to the dentist in the past 8 years, I get stuck with the same hygienist. And this same lady takes a chunk out of my gums. LITERALLY. Every time she cleans my teeth, my gums are sore and bleeding, and it's because she has removed part of them. As a matter of fact, my father almost got fired from his job because of her... He went to see the dentist on his lunchbreak one day. She was also being a butcher to my dad and some blood (actually, it was a pretty good amount) got on the collar of his shirt (where the hell was the little bib thing?) When he got back to work, they told him that they didn't care to know what happened, but that he needed to go home and change his shirt before he could come back in to work. Of course, when he did come back, they demanded he explain himself. Needless to say, my dad was hella pissed and called the dentist and b****ed them out.
No, this was like 10 years before it came out. I wasn't even old enough to remember this story on my own. My parents retold it to me when she started doing the same thing to me.
