How come everyone is "Deeply Saddened" when something happens . . . I mean, why can't people come up with something else to say, other than "deeply saddened" "The governor, who is the president's younger brother, released a statement saying he and his wife, Columba, were ''deeply saddened'' over the incident." - President Bush's Niece Arrested on Drug Charge "Addressing the Jewish people at their Holocaust memorial, Pope John Paul II said today the Roman Catholic church is "deeply saddened" by Christian persecution of Jews throughout history, and called for a new relationship between the two faiths based on their common roots." - Pope 'deeply saddened' by persecution of Jews "Said Richard Kughn, another prominent Metro Detroit businessman whose long career in real estate development paralleled Taubman's: "I was deeply saddened. How about "I've fallen in the abyss of sadness and I can't get up"? My Dad wouldn't be deeply saddened....he would be deeply pissed off and want to take me out to a deep pond and deeply drown my arse. Or he would tell me I'm in "deep shiyat"! "Deeply saddened" is nothing more than newspaper fodder and is a substitute for what that person really wants to say....which is left for our imaginations to decide. Surf
