NBA jerseys, Hardwood Classics product, which includes retro jerseys and merchandise featuring classic NBA logos, athletic footwear and headwear were the Store’s top sellers. Since the start of training camp in October, overall merchandise sales at both The NBA Store and The NBA Store on NBA.com have seen a 43 percent and 12 percent increase, respectively, versus the same time period last year. In addition, sales of NBA jerseys have doubled since last year. The NBA Hardwood Classics Collection has more than tripled in sales since last year. The Hardwood Classics shop at the NBA Store on Fifth Avenue is the Store’s largest growth area, while the NBA Store on NBA.com has also experienced strong sales from its specialized Hardwood Classics shop. The Hardwood Classics line has become extremely popular among entertainers, celebrities and athletes and as a result, has contributed to the sales increases at the league’s retail store and on NBA.com. Hopefully the Rockets marketing and management will look at these statistics as proof that our uniforms are a joke.
