Awsome post IMO. I agree with what's been jopatmc's position for a while now: Dwight will have to choose between Orlando or Houston, and he'll have to do it soon.

Morey has the whole thing cornered. As long as the Magic act in their own best interest, which one has to believe they will, the only path to a trade runs through Houston. Dwight will either reconcile with the Magic or be a Houston Rocket come training camp.

 

Anytime you have to tell a 26 year-old millionaire to grow up, you've already lost. The longer this plays out, the more I want no piece of Dwight. Let him go to the Mavericks and watch them turn into Orlando-west. I'll enjoy rooting my ass off against his loser ass the rest of his career. Actually, that's a given pretty much no matter where this baby goes.

I agree...the more this drags on the more I don't care where he goes. I have been on the record since day one saying I want Dwight Howard here...now, I'm not so sure. If they pulled the trigger on it today, I'd probably be excited...I'd be very interested in seeing how we do next season with him on the roster. But I know that nothing is easy with that guy with respect to building something.

Yeah, and you're absolutely right about the 26 year old millionaire angle. It seems that of the list of the top 10 players in the game, there's a diva angle to nearly everyone of them at some point. Just the nature of so much money at such a young age, I suppose.
