On CNN at 7 central. I saw an excerpt yesterday and it looked really interesting. Whether you have or had interest in Dean or not, it looked like a great behind the scenes look at presidential primary politics.
I thought the documentary was good, and I think it did a good job at capturing the grass roots aspect of Dean's campaign. It also shows just how hard it is go up against the machine and try to change things.
It's a shame that Dean had his run ended by what was essentially a minor sound system error. ...repeated a billion times by the ad-revenue-cows who control the news media.
Well, since he fell out of the primary race right after "the scream", the Democrats can't really blame anyone but themselves. They're the ones that quit voting for him.
I saw the documentary by the way. I thought one of the weirdest / maybe revealing things about it was when Joe Trippi was campaigning he walked up to someone and said, " Hi, Im Joe Trippi and I'm running (brief pause) Howard Deans campaign." Maybe it was an inside joke or something but I thought that was strange. What I concluded from the end of the documentary is that brains always win out over heart (Im not saying that the Dean campaign is dumb, just that they seemed to be driven by emotion). I dont think thats a bad thing either.
Exactly. He peaked FAR too soon before the scream even was an issue. The scream was merely the coup de grace. But what an entertaining coup de grace it was. By the way, folks, your defense of your boy Dean is hilariously pathetic.
I didn't see any defense of Dean in this thread. I also didn't see a need for any defense. All I saw was commentary on the documentary.
Same here. I think bama was just looking to get in a cheap-shot. The partisan is strong with this one.
