Sounds like David Lee :::cough:::THE AGENT::cough::: wants to get paid. He's definitely overrated, but he's fan favorite in NY http://dimemag.com/2009/07/the-knicks-might-as-well-spit-in-david-lees-face/ Under Isiah Thomas, he was an "untouchable" in trade talks, and hailed as the anti-Starbury - a guy who hustles and plays within the team concept. His double-doubles are a bit inflated tho... he is known as a good offensive rebounder but he's consistently been on bad shooting teams and currently on a team which simply jacks up a lot of (bad) shots which increases his opportunity to get more garbage rebounds and points. I still like the guy, he plays with a high motor, but I'd like him more at the right price.

Not worth it, David Lee will not improve anymore that's his ceiling already nomore upside. Plus I will not trade T-Mac for a non-allstar! that's speaking in behalf of Les and Morey. Got that?
Lee has been at his ceiling the day he got drafted. Lee is a near All Star calibre player. McGrady's not being re-signed, it's about collecting assets. Rockets can keep Lee for the long term or package him in a future trade as early as this season.
Lets make it clear everyone....We are not going to trade Tmac. He is the best we'll get for a while. We are not going to get equal value to him. He is probably the only guy on this team that can carry it and if we trade him, we will lose the only person who can make this team something.
So Morey wouldn't even offer Gortat the full MLE, but you expect him to pay that kind of money to David Lee, even though we have Scola, and even though it's widely assumed that Bosh is one of Morey's prime free agent targets next Summer?
Not really impressed with him as a player. Id rather take a chance with McGrady than settle for mediocrity.
Gortat is unproven over real minutes. For the full MLE Lee would be a bargain. Bosh is talking extension. Even if he doesn't re-sign, he's not signing with the Rockets for $10M next season. Rockets stockpile talent. They can keep both.
NO, He is not close to being an all-star. Quite frankly with Stephen A, He is a below average defender that does not pose a defensive threat under the basket, And his offense is stiff and uncoordinated. Luis Is far and away the better player...
