As far as "serious" relationships, of which I've had 3, I've never been dumped. The first lasted like 15 months and I ended it with her when I found out she was doing her ex when she told me she was visiting her terminally ill grandma in the hospital. The second one lasted maybe 18 months and I ended it like a coward - rather than just be honest and end the thing, I became distant until she asked if I wanted to end it. I hate how I did that because she was a good person and I killed a lot of my college friendships because we had many mutual friends, but what can ya do. (Predictably and justifiably, she has hated me with a passion ever since. Younger guys other there: don't do that. End it like a man and you'll both be happier in the long run.) The third one I dated for 4 years then proposed to and then married. As for short, "non-serious" relationships, I was dumped/rejected every time - I never was the one who ended them. Sometimes after a single date, sometimes after a couple weeks, sometimes after a few months. I didn't date very prolifically (or successfully, apparently) so from age 12 until I met my wife... I'd say I was dumped/rejected about 10-15 times.
In terms of the 3 serious relationships I've been in, I've been dumped once, had another one end in a mutual break-up, and got married in the third one.
In serious relationships, got dumped once and did the dumping once, then met the person I'm married to now. In non-serious relationships/encounters, probably half and half there as well. But to be honest, they were too chaotic to really keep count.
Couldn't even count how often friend zoned.. 4 serioues relationships dumped two, been dumped once, married once.
Not really related to getting dumped but I've always wondered about this: Dated/f-friend a girl a while back that was coming out of a relationship and insisted on wanting nothing serious. I was cool with it no problem. Yet one night I come up stairs and she's in my bed checking out a childhood picture of mine and questions me about it. The day after I'm cleaning up in my place and can't seem to find the picture. I asked her and she said "I'm not that crazy!". To this day the picture is still missing. Always wondered if/why I girl would do that. This combined with the fact that she never returned some of my clothes makes me believe I dodged a bullet.
Nah if you let a chick wear you're clothing its as good as gone. Let one girl wear home one of my nike airforce1 tees I got on discount at footlocker. it was dead to me the moment she walked out the door
Haha so true! I didn't even want to let her wear some of them. Most I just forgot at her place or she was wearing them the morning after so wasn't going to tell her to take it off (maybe should've haha). But yeah they are dead to me.
