Say's he'll worry about signing Artest when the season is over. Lowry is working out pretty much how he thought he would. Eellyuu or whatever is a longshot for making it to the NBA anytime soon.
I didn't realize how well Eliyahu was doing - was named MVP of the month in Euroleage play. Morey said he thrives in transition and is a great cutter. Seems like a nice complimentary player in an Adelman offense. One caller asked about Artest re-signing and trading McGrady. Morey only answered the former. The latter was completely ignored.
I think Rockets will protect T-Mac as much as they can, say good things for him as well. This benefits Rockets when they actually trade him. I really don't think that Rockets want to keep him after all these drama. However, Rockets management bashing him now will further decrease his trading value, something we don't want to see. We want to get as much in return as we can. T-Mac really destroyed himself.
Morey didn't say that at all. It was "We've got some depth at that position right now. So maybe it'll be hard to get him over right now.". An interesting point about Eliyahu is he's a free agent this off-season. In having a breakout year. He might get picked up by a european powerhouse. The Rockets could be facing their Luis Scola/Tiago Splitter dilemma down the road...
