Descent player, but best served as a reserve. We need a starter. Plus, we don't need every player that has ever come out of Houston.
I don't know about the kid. He had a decent rookie season and showed some improvement in his second season. He may or may not be injury prone. Last season he had some good playoff games and some not so good playoff games. What I'm getting at is the sample size of Boobie Gibson is too small to offer much for him IMO.
my two cents is that we dont need another backup short ass PG. lets try size for once. more importantly length, long arms that can harass the opposing ballhandler and make it difficult to get passes in to the lane and the post... oh silly me - Moreyball doesnt care about size.
he would be a good back up for skip, but would cost too much to get as i would expect cleveland to match any reasonable offer. plus, even if you magically put him on our roster, he wouldn't be the starter. he would have been a great second rounder, but probably not worth it at this stage.
Why would Gibson want to leave LeBron, who is the ideal player for him to play off of? I doubt he wants to be a Rocket.
