I listen to SPR610 all day long but as soon as he comes on, that changes. Man, his show sucks. It's constant laughing about things that aren't even funny. Why is the show even called the Dan Patrick Show when half the time he has a replacement host cause he is out on "assignment". The other problem is that probably 90% of the show focuses on Boring ball, i mean baseball. I swear the Nba Playoffs are going on. Why does Boring ball get so much more coverage even though it is early in the season? From 2-4, I listen to CDs or FM.
I'm not a fan of Dan Patrick, but there's nothing better on during that timeslot. Rome just stinks; he needs to be dragged into the street and shot on the six o'clock news. Cowherd is better than I thought he was going to be, but he talks about football entirely too much for my taste. And, oh yeah, I miss Kornheiser.
Very interesting guys. Do to my contractual obligations I am not at liberty to weigh in on what a boring waste of time DP is. It would be professionally irresponsible to mention that two hours of tape delayed boredom is presently the best option we have. It would also put me in a bad place to tell you guys on the board that I have fought desperately to move VanDerMeer to 2-4, John and Lance to 6:30 to 11, Jeremy Foster from 5:00 to 6:30, Rich and Charlie from 4:00 to 7:00, and Matt Jackson's Renegade Radio from 7:00 to 11:00. So I won't. Instead I will just encourage everyone to listen to the station, call more, and freaking email the Program Director your honest opinions, be they for Dan or otherwise. Chance
Chance: one HUGE sugestion...let's return Saturday mornings to SPORTS radio instead of fix-it talk. there are like 4,000000000 fix-it shows on am radio over the weekend...on the morning before the super bowl here in Houston there was NOOOO sports talk. it was all "how do i fix my patio with a coathanger and ball bearings?" talk. i'm the least handy person you know, and could honestly care less. more sports...less fix-it. thanks!
