Spoke with Doc Rocket 5 minutes ago and he found out today Cuttino will be back for sure. Sounds like you can bank on it... so not sure what beef the Rockets had with Aldridge's report.

Anyone know if there could be any benefits for the Rockets signing Cuttino after some unknown transaction? Since they're capped out I didn't think something like that would/could be the case... but that would make sense since Cat is still sounding uncertain.

    aelliot, davo... ?

Is a 2 year deal a bad thing? Will this be happening again in 2 years?

I trust Michael Murphy a lot more than David Aldrige (still fuming over the Damon Stoudimire fiasco). So i'm trusting that Mobley (god bless him) is signing the 2 year deal, with the Rockets front office storing a big bag of money next to that of Shandon Anderson for safekeeping as well. Thanks for the insight guys.
And WINK03, a 2 year deal isn't a bad thing simply because Mobley is counting on the big payoff when he is signed to an extension.

Someone will find out from Mobley today. He and Francis among others are at Channel 2 today for the Kim's Place telethon.

clutch...still doesn't make sense why they would deny it unless confirmation locks them into the contract while terms are still being negotiated. I simply cannot figure any harm from salary cap perspective, so it must be simply a bargaining issue between Rockets and Mobley's agent.

By the way...it is all a moot point now, cause we GOT THE CAT!!!!!! That's all that matters.

no, this won't repeat because Mobley with have Full Bird rights next time if he stays with the Rockets.

    Thanks, Clutch.

Man, so now that Mobes has unofficially signed with the Rocks, when do we start our rant on how he hogs the ball and makes dumb plays? [IMG]

I hope its true! I'd love keep Mobley on the team. Mobley has a great work ethic, is fearless on the court, adds instant offense, and he plays with alot of heart. Come on Cuttino, say its so!!!

    BANG! They're off!!! [IMG]

But hey... Mobley brought that FG% up the 2nd half of the season and started to be a reliable threat, so I can definitely, positively, without a doubt, say, with no regrets and no remorse that....

I might possibly be happy with Cat being back. [IMG]

Let me be the first to say 'waive him'.

After he is signed, of course.

A 2 year deal makes alot of sense. After that we will have full Bird rights on Cuttino, and can sign him to a big contract afterwards.

Word is Mobley didn't show. Plus, I'm assuming Ch 2 would have shown the interview with him or at least some video of him if he did. They did interview Francis and he said Vince Carter called Mobley today trying to persuade him.

Hey Vince: mind your own bid'ness!
