Anyone who might could recod this or whatever it is you do please put it on here. I have to leave my office and I won't be back on time but I very much would like to hear this interview. It should be coming up befoe 12 or shortly there after. Anyway post your opinions on here and let me know what ya'll think. PEACE OUT!
How far into the show is cuttino gonna be on? Rome starts where I'm at at 1 and goes to 4...So about what time should Cuttino be on? Please let it be a couple hours into the show, I don't get out of class until 2!!
How about Cat mentioning that Ming turned around and jammed in Ratliff's face, and screamed and got a technical and the bench just loved it. They talked about Shaq's comments and how Shaq was being funny and didn't mean anything by it and Cat agreed. Then said players say stupid things sometimes and that Charles Barkley says stupid things all the time. That was funny, Charles and Cat and even Steve rip each other all the time, all in fun. Cat couldn't decide who was the rookie of the year, Yao or Amare. Said that Amare is the throw back, old school PF that basically works around the basket and dunks, and doesn't really have an outside game. Really likes Amare's game. This team has a great chemistry, hopefully the Rockets don't do anything to screw it up. I doubt that they will.
What I found most interesting out of that interview is that when Jim Rome asked about the Shaw Comments, Cuttino said there were a couple of people in the locker room that were very upset and he would not mention names. Also Jim asked Cuttino how he felt about the comments and Cuttino answered with what I think is the best answer I have heard anyone say. "I don't know Im not Chinese". Basically Cuttino said they were all gonna be behing Yao and if Shaq does anything against Yao he would have to gothrough the rest of the team!
Looks like everyone else covered it. I was just happy with Cuttino's attitude and the way he handled the Shaq issue. Hearing about the tech in Atlanta was entertaining, and Cuttino saying he isn't Chinese was a classy way to say he can't say if he thinks Shaq's comments are offensive or not. Also, Cuttino was talking about most of the current games are like playoff games. I like how the team is trying to take every game seriously after losing some games they had no business losing. B
I loved that to NUMBER1HR. This team is sticking together and I think the Rockets are ready for tonight. Also to add, Cat thinks Griffin has a ton of upside. I can't hammer this home enough, Griffin was hanging with Stoudemire, he had 10 points 9 boards and was on his way to a 15 to 20 points and 12 to 15 rebound game until Rudy benched him for the 4th quarter for god knows what reason. Griffin has the skills to put up 15 to 17 ppg and grab about 9 to 10 rebounds a game, and he is coming on strong, but benching him in a big game in the 4th quarter when he is playing well doesn't help his confidence.
I am a Cat fan, but I was a little disappointed by the "I don't know. I'm not Chinese" comment. Cat is black so he should have a clue as to the ugliness that racial slurs and typecasting bring about.
Cutino when refering to the solid core of the Rockets, refered to Moochie as avery solid back up. I wonder if Cutino has looked at the box scores in recent times?
Cuttino gave a really good interview. Most of Rome's questions were about Yao, and not Cuttino. Rome didn't even mention Mobley's torrid shooting of late. He didn't say one word about the 30 points he dropped on Phoenix the other night. Still, Cat answered all the questions very professionally. I'm so glad we don't have any primadonnas on this team. Cat's been criticized heavily for poor shot selection, and ball-hogging. But, truth be told, the guy just wants to win. He busts his ass, and his game improves every year. He's shown signs the last two games of taking what comes to him. Making open three pointers, driving to the hoop, and making free throws.
Yeah, Cat's impressed me in the last few games, mostly because he's cut down considerably on crying to the refs, and that was my biggest beef with him. As long as he continues to play hard, he's gonna stay on my good side.
Baqui99: It was a good interview, and I too am heartened my Cat's play and evolution into a top-flight guard. Sometimes we major on the minors. I also forgot to mention that Cat made sure Eddie Griffin got some recognition.
I am a Cat fan, but I was a little disappointed by the "I don't know. I'm not Chinese" comment. Cat is black so he should have a clue as to the ugliness that racial slurs and typecasting bring about. Thumbs, well lets think about this this way. It was not a mock at the color of his skin it was a mock toward a culture. Kind of like making fun of American's. We are all derived from different cultures but ultimatly we are all American's. If someone was to make fun of the American way of life we would all take it to heart. It would be a lot more serious to us personally but more importantly American's as a whole. I feel the way Cuttino, Unless I was Chinese I really wouldn't know how to feel.
