I cannot stand watching the little fat nappyhead gremlin waddle around the court missing wide open jump shots and layups. Not to mention, he cannot check anybody and is not interested in playing any defense. He seems more interested in his stylish hair doos which helps him to look like "HeatMizer" than improving his game. I say cut him now and cut or losses and improve our team. Without him being on the squad, the team is already improved!!!!

i completely agree. the guy brings absolutely nothing to the table and, in fact, hinders the teams progress when he's on the court. but i am willing to see how he fares - along with the rest of the team - under JVG. even if it's only for the first few games.

Give him a chance! Move him as an extra in a trade.

I say we should keep him. We can get Moochie and Matt Maloney to be our ball boys (waterboys) or halftime hype men!!!:D

I would really like to see him in camp and on the team if only for a little while. I believe that JVG will not put up with Moochie's $hit and will rein hell on him. He will either turn Mooch into a team player, or will run him out of town like a scalded cat. I believe though that we will see a lot of Moochie this, just sitting on the Bench.:D

I agree , get rid of him , sure he has wild hairstyles! sure all the little white, black and mexican kiddies love him, but he hangs on to the ball to long, waaaaay too long, he would be a great WR for the Texans, but a PG for the Rockets he is not...

I cannot stand him, we definitely need some bench help at the point a person that comes out , gets 7-9 points and can play some aggressive defense, atleast move the ball around , and not turn it over as we are spelling our starters or just trying to end the game

Don't forget, moochie is one of the best in the league at hitting the half court shot. Just remember how valuble that is during the season.

Mochie had a horrible year, but cutting him would be kinda extreme. Move him for anything if you can, but cut him at the last possible resort.

Mooch will probably be gone as VG will want someone who at least attemps to play D...

I like Mooch, but everyone has a bad year and the Rox can do better...

What does his texture of hair have to do with him as a basketball player?

    Dumb thing to say.

they did put a picture of just his hair up on a billboard. ; )

If Van Gundy is this hard ass they say he is I wonder if he will let Moochie act like a clown on the sidelines when the Rockets are down by 15.

Heatmizer is cool and funny, "nappyhead" is stupid and insensitive. How does he know Moochie has nappy hair? Furthermore no one has ever called Heatmizer that.

I just get tired of people assuming that because you are black, your hair is "nappy".

    AB,

yea, i feel you on that. what's odd about it is that i kind of assumed that original poster was black, and, (truthfully) that kind of made it ok with me. i can take that kind of humor with someone else that's black. i know, i know, it's a double standard, hypocritical, etc., etc. nevertheless, it's true.

but let's not turn this into a political correctness/racial epitaph debate.

I have moved this discussion to debate/discussion.

People have to learn what's acceptable and what isn't. Would it have been OK for him to call Moochie a big d**ked gremlin?

I think the same principle applies.

I have been a Moochie-basher in the past, but I will say this. With a little bit of discipline, which JVG will provide, Moochie's game should and more than likely improve leaps and bounds compared to the pathetic crap we saw last season. Or else he's outta here..................

So I am actually all for giving Mooch another chance. Let's see what JVG can do with him.
