stolen from soopermexican, compare and contrast the text of Michelle's speech last night with that from Ann last week:

one party dedicated to its leader, the other to the country.

What does it mean that Mitt, little, and harder are next to each other?

    funny and irrelevant.

Obama's top 5 contributors are the University of California, Microsoft, Google, DLA Piper and Harvard University. Romney's top 5 contributors are Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Bank of America and Credit Suisse.

Barclays told to stop fundraising for Mitt Romney - Telegraph

    not so funny---and definitely relevant.

One party dedicated to technology and learning, the other dedicated to repeating 2008.

    who's sounded more sincere though?

wives and mothers by nature always think their husband and children are most important

can you also post the same for Mitt vs Barack's speech?

    By the way...

    Ann Romney:
    By contrast, here's Michelle Obama:

She didn't say America a lot, but she talked about it a lot more.

This thread is for the simple minded.

Only an idiot would look at a picture of words and imagine that they understand context. Only a complete moron would rail about the differences between the two parties and then post something that they imagine, out of context, shows them as identical.

Only a complete buffoon would think that the president and first lady do not love their country; especially when it appears that 90% of Basso's energy is directed toward tearing his country down.

I feel sad for this human as he is a man who wants his country to fail and is willing to fight for that cause under the blanket of blind patriotism to an ideology that wants to **** him in the ass.

"And he believes that when you’ve worked hard, and done well, and walked through that doorway of opportunity…you do not slam it shut behind you…you reach back, and you give other folks the same chances that helped you succeed."

    -- Michelle Obama

Michelle Obama’s speech: Both apolitical and politically masterful

CHARLOTTE — The most devastating attack on Mitt Romney at Tuesday’s Democratic Convention came from Michelle Obama, who did not mention Romney’s name and said not a single cross thing about him.

She devastated him by implication. If Romney was the son of privilege, she and her husband were anything but. What she said directly is that Barack Obama understands people who are struggling. What she didn’t have to say is Mitt Romney doesn’t.

As a general matter, her speech was a big hit: good enough that even Fox News was kind to her. But the specific stories — about her father working through the pain of multiple sclerosis, about the debts she and her husband accumulated from college — served a powerful campaign purpose. A speech that was thoroughly apolitical on the surface carried multiple political messages, linking a very traditional message about parenting with a call for social justice.

This is probably the most sophisticated analysis Basso & Co are capable of comprehending. Give them credit for figuring out what a wordle is at least.

Were you this concerned in 2008 when Goldman, JPM, and Citigroup were all among Obama's top 7 contributors?

That's spot-on; as a former English teacher, I had engaged in several studies and workshops regarding readability analysis. The average daily newspaper, like the Houston Chronicle, is written at about a 7th grade level. The NY Times and Wall Street Journal are 12th and college level, respectively. Readability levels can definitely be measured.

Not surprised at all -- Obama wants to turn this election into a popularity contest, which is why he grants inverviews to Glamour magazine but won't do press conferences and why he leans on pillars of society such as Harold & Kumar to try to attract the dumb youth vote. He is focused on 'being cool' to pull in these uninformed voters. Meanwhile, Romney is focused on leading America back to greatness and real, responsible policy initiatives that SUPPORT businesses, not try to kill them with taxes and regulations. It's absurd how ignorant our electorate has become for Obama to even be close in this race. No serious, responsible adult who is concerned about their future could possibly cast a vote for another four more years of failed Obama policies.
