Exactly...though RM95 is right about Alexander.

I think Yao is awesome, but he hasn't earned this yet.

Well....I guess technically, he has earned it.....but that just shows what a joke the ASG is.

Cuban is not an intelligent man. This is the same man (Yao) he was trying hard to get. Many Germans speak and understand good English. They can also navigate there way through the online voting system on NBA.com (though not as easy as having it in your native language). I can bet you that many German votes made it close for Dirk. Anyway Germany is a football (soccer) nation - do you really think they care about ASG? Common.......though China is also a Soccer nation, they are more of a virgin market as far as NBA is concerned.

Oh by the way, the NBA made it clear that Yao was leading (and probably won) the paper ballot that was circulated in the USA. I bet if Cuban hears this he will now find a way to complain also. Jealous hater .

Correct me if I'm wrong. NBA.com is on the World Wide Web, right? So why couldn't the Germans vote for Dirk? They use the alphabet, and couldn't you just click next to the name you regonize?

I think you guys are taking his comments out of context. His comments were not meant to bash Yao Ming.

Cuban was upset that Dirk was not voted in as a starter. He feels that if the ballots are printed in Chinese (which obviously did help Yao get voted as the starter) they should also be printed in German. If they were Dirk would have been a starter. Dirk was only a little more than 7000 votes behind KG.

Everyone knows that Yao got most of his votes from here in the US however those extra votes he got from China could have been the ones that put him over the top. The same could have been true for Dirk which is why Cuban was upset. I don't think it had anything to do with any hatred towards Yao.

Alexand....Oh yeah the owner!! The one who sits in his owner's box and presides over the team's administrative decisions, and not cheer them on the bench..Man, what is up with dallas and their micro managing owners? First Jerry Jones and now the computer geek? I'm all for enthusiasm in your team, but do it with class like Les through Clutch City foundation, tux and tennies and all that, not screaming on the sideline and getting fined everyday. That SOB should count his blessings that the internet made him rich. He wouldn't have been worth sh*t 10 years ago. I'm being a hater, but think about how much money the f&*cker wastes opening his big mouth and compare it to what you and I make in a year. Jeez!!

Not intelligent? I guess he created and sold those two companies by accident huh?

Just because you don't like the man doesn't mean he's not intelligent. If that were the case then you would be the dumbest man on the planet.

    you said it yourself.
Mark Cuban is a Hater that Yao Ming isnt Wang Zhi Zhi.

I believe Cuban really wanted Yao Ming, but at the time China would only allow Wang Zhi Zhi to come over.

That is my exact point. I lived in Hamburg, Germany for about a year - I know many Germans can comprehend written English - I bet many who wanted to vote for Dirk were deterred much. Also I repeat Germany is Soccer CRAZY nation - Dirk fans out there are will not be as much as Cuban thinks (though I believe many got their votes in).

Germany's population is an estimated 82 Million.

This just shows how ignorant you are. China has more computers & internet users than the German entire population. China is 2nd in the world in annual PC sales since last year, will catch up to the States in the next few years.

    Almost right!!!! :D

Well, I think it's less of a language matter, if they had wanted Dirk to be an all-star, they could have easily gotten some German sports shows and sports websites to tell people to go vote for Dirk...most people in Germany know English, especially those interested in the NBA. Who cares - Dirk will play in the All-Star game anyway.

I don't think it makes that much of a difference for someone who don't understand English to vote for All Starters. If you're a BIG fan of NBA, you should know the word "NBA.COM" and when you get on that site, you should see ALL STAR and once they click on that they should be able to see a bunch of names and should be able to know what to do from there. It's not that hard. Especially for German, which know English.

Cuban is a BIG FAT A-HOLE and that's why he does and says the things he does. I don't know how Dallas fans feel, but I'd be embarassed as hell to have a team owner like that in my city.

Cuban just wants to get it on the record that he really wanted Dirk as a starter. Hell, Dirk's probably embarassed: "That's OK, Mark, you can complain if I'm not a reserve; and we know that isn't gonna happen."

Actually I think Cuban is pretty popular in Dallas. He's the kind of guy that is very annoying unless he's on your team.

Embarassed to have Mark Cuban own the Mavs?

Let's see what there is to be embarassed about ...

He takes one of the top 2 worst franchises in all of sports during the 90's and turns them into one of the top 5 franchises in all of sports (according to the fan poll done by ESPN last week).

He helps a team that went over 10 years without making it to the playoffs to the second round of the playoffs for the last 3 years.

He transforms a franchise that NO ONE wanted to play for into one of the hottest free agent destinations in all of sports.

He actually lobbies for his players to be on the All Star team which is something that Ross Perot Jr or Don Carter NEVER did.

He also removed the ban Ross Perot Jr, and Don Carter's wives had on allowing the cheerleaders to wear hot pants (Daisy Dukes for those who don't know). This doesn't have much to do with the team but you get my drift.

What exactly is it we were talking about again? ... Oh yea, Embarassed to have Mark Cuban as an owner of the Mavs ... Well there is one thing that Mark Cuban has ruined for the Mavs .... any shot they will have at landing LaBron James or anyother lotto player in the near or distant future.

I would personally rather have an owner that shows his passion for the team. I want an owner that I know cares for the players and the team. As I pointed out the Mavs have had owners that did do crap to help the Mavs win. We (fans) have had to basically go through have two owners like Donald Stearling in order to get a grerat owner such as Mark Cuban.

Cuban's a moron. Why the hell is this even an issue? First of all, unlike Shaq and all the morons said, not all 1.3 billion Chinese voted for yao, cuz only a relative small % of them actually uses the internet. And those that actually do, not all of them likes basketball. The fact is, yao would be starting based on the paper ballots in the US alone. I'm not gonna argue if he deserves to be on there.

Secondly, what's the freakin' difference having an all-star ballot in German? You can't speak english but you can't read the names???!!! If you don't recognize the name Dirk then you shouldn't be voting in the first place.

Secondly, I like Dirk and all but no way I'd take him over Tim Duncan (since he's being called PF instead of C). Besides, if Dirk didn't get voted in cuz nobody in Germany speaks english, who the hell's gonna vote for Duncan? The whole Virgin Islands population? If Mark Cuban's dumbass China vote logic is applied here then Germany has an a lot larger population than the Virgin Islands and Dirk Nowitzki still lost the vote.
