I was at the game tonight and I was actually quite happy with the crowd for once. The Rockets seem to be doing more things to get the fans involved and into the game. They are giving away a ton more shirts, and going to the upper sections for more of the giveaways. I have been to six games this season so far, and the crowd tonight seemed to have the most punch for the size (the Laker game was good, but partially just because it was a sell out crowd). Could anyone else tell the difference, or did I just get lucky and sit in a good section? (I moved sections to upper tier, midcourt) Also, I finally got my first free t-shirt from one of the cheerleaders! (I already have 4 from the All-Star balloting) Anyways, I know a lot of us were saying the games weren't as fun to go to anymore, but I wanted to let everyone know I think things are getting better, and they are trying to give a better bang for the buck. Maybe I think it's a good deal since I buy the $13 tickets and move to the nice seats.

Well, I need to get some sleep since I have to get up early for work. Hopefully I'll see some of you at the January 5th game against the Pacers!

You could tell on the TV broadcast that the crowd was louder than usual. It sounded good.

I was at the Bucks game, and it was a lot of fun too. The crowd seems to get worked up when Sam Cassell is in town. Plus it didn't hurt we were making so many three pointers and that we actually won.

Jeff, good to hear that the crowd noise was actually noticably louder. Now I feel like my sore throat is justified. :)

it was a great crowd the past 2 games! could be the holidays are over...could be free tickets....

I think they ought to allow all the upper level fans to move down low at half time and take open seats! Anyone who shows after halftime without an emergency type excuse loses and sits upstairs!!!!!

    Upper level fans rule

    :D

Good to hear that the fans are getting better in Houston. Those quite corporate poeple down low don't know when to get into a game until those up top get it going!! Keep up the good work, it makes buying NBA League Pass worth the money!

Yep, they are giving away shirts in the upper decks and there is a constant and successful attempt to keep the crowd into the game.

Old School, weren't a lot of us complaining about the lack of those two things not too long ago? Maybe they actually are listening to us. Now if they'd only lower the prices a tad so I could sit in the seat I paid for instead of moving to the $50+ seats. Nah, as long as it's empty I'll search for a better seat closer to the court.

B: They did! I started a thread here (someone dig it up for me -- mango??? :) ) because one of the Rockets promotional people called me and asked if I or anyone from cc.net could make suggestions as to what they could giveaway at games. You guys responded with that and other things they could do and they listened.

I know they talk to lots of people but you guys should all feel proud because we were a part of the effort!
