Alright this is to a prove a point on this other board I post on. I'm interested to find the results.

The premise is Clemens having a receipt from a round of golf 10 years ago. I said this guys crazy, he whipes his bum with $100 bills, he obviously saved it for a reason and this is absurd. Someone contradicted me with a fairly good point:

"If he used its credit card, he couldve called them for the receipt... so, I mean that pretty much would negate what you said..."

Sooo, my mission to you CLUTCHFANS:

Anyone on the board, step forward if you still possess a credit card that you used 10 years ago and is still activated today.

I was only 15 and barely started to drive, let alone use a credit card.

I do. The first ever credit card I got was in 1997 at the Astros-Braves playoff game. It was an MBNA Astros card. Still have it. It's been upgraded to Platinum since then. ;) I also got my first AMEX in 1998 and I still use it as well.

My son has had credit cards since he was 6 weeks old. He's two now, but he will have a long, good credit card history by the time he's old enough to use it responsibly. Not that far out of the realm of possibility to have a CC ten years old.

My Chase was 12 years old until I canceled it.
My Wells Fargo is 11 years old now.
My AMEX is 9 years old...

Oh and I am 35 years old. I think you get the picture.

yeah, i'm not sure why he thought this would be a rarity. it's actually good for your credit score to maintain older accounts. to show long histories with creditors.

I probably have credit cards that are older than you. Most of my cards are well over twenty years active. Not sure why you think this is odd.
