What are the possibilities that Stern would further correct his "veto situation" by somehow manuevering Dwight Howard into Houston? Stranger things have happened. Plus, he owes us still.
It's my firm belief that we WILL get a "make-up call". I don't think it will involve us getting Howard though....something else.
Maybe our "make-up call" is putting Bud in the dunk contest, and Parsons in the Shooting Stars competition. THE 2013 ALL-STAR GAME WAS GOING TO BE IN HOUSTON BEFORE THE TRADE WAS VETOED.
So you're saying that David Stern, based on past experience, will likely acknowledge his mistakes and make things right? Okay then... I admire your optimism, but I've moved on.
The douchebag wouldnt even trade us Kamen's expiring contract for our expirings.... he has no soul....dont expect any favors from him.
Well, when you combine: Stern's debt our owner/organization's mindset to win now the way we're set with a$$ets/capspace ....and the All Star game being here... I would assume we will have AT LEAST two All Star level players (maybe 3) by the break next year.
Further correct? How has he corrected it so far? Stern doesn't care about making things better. At least no in this case, why would he? The majority of Rockets' fans don't even know what really went down. Hell, several on here still don't. They'll just move on without any hard feelings.
So what really went down then? That he saved face for the acting GM because lord knows you dont trade away a superstar for two player who arent even all stars and are at or past their peak? 2 players who still have 2 and 3 years left on their contracts when in REALITY, not clutchdreamland, when trying to find a buyer, you want to cost expenses, not add on?? Yeah it looks bad because it was out team but so what. While there are no legit owners he has to be it. Its funny, because if the deal went down, and the Hornets were sucking (with our players) we all would have been laughing, haha shuckas! Kinda funny how that would have worked out but because it didn't, were not laughing, were crying and all we can do is blame one person. Fricking pathetic. Why dont you put yourself in someone elses shoes and ask yourself if you have done it. I sure as hell wouldnt have taken Scola or Martin if I was thinking of rebuilding for the future. It would be picks, picks, young legit assets (Patterson/Parson is probably the best we got atm) and expirings.
Im so tired of hearing "stern gave us the 2013 allstar game because of the veto..." NO he didn't!! I almost want to start a thread stating it. The allstar game was set to be in Houston before the veto. It was only nationally confirmed recently.
Stern will force Dwight Howard to come to Houston, along with Deron Williams...and allow us to keep our core, because he is a fair and considerate human being. BWAHAHAHAHAHA! Everyone, listen up, Stern is still mad at us for taking the title away from New York in '93 ...and then demolishing 'The Next Dynasty' in Orlando Shaq could carry Hakeem, just couldn't guard him. Proof? See Dallas Playoff series ref scandal. 'nuff said.
Rather than making it up to us, i'm putting my money on him screwing us up yet again in the near future. Why? Because it's David Stern.
