So I am in downtown today and get out of class early. I decide to walk to the bus stop and catch an earlier bus back home (which comes like 25 mins late, dang metro). Anyways, I am waiting at the bus stop when I notice this pregnant white lady (maybe mid/late 20's) standing near the entrance to a parking lot. I figure she's waiting on her ride or whatever. Long story short, eventually this guy who I am assuming is her husband pulls up in like a brand new Lexus SUV. I'm watching this whole situation and it just seems awkward because when he pulls up, he is still on the street and she seems to be furious. Like this girl was PISSED. Obviously, I don't know what was going on, but she starts angrily motioning for him to pull into a metered parking spot. He does, and she gets in. It seems like they're having a fight/yelling for a few minutes. Then, all of a sudden the guy floors it and reserves the car straight into oncoming traffic. He nearly hits the guy behind them. It's nutz. Then, as they pull forward about two feet the light turns red. I see the girl just screaming. Yelling her head off. Then, she starts hitting the guy!!! Shockingly, as she's smacking him, he basically grabs her head and does the Homer Simpson on Bart strangling thing!!! Like he literally grabs her head and swings it around. This results in even more yelling. Then, she opens the door!! In the middle of traffic, she pulls the door open and yells "**** YOU" at him! After like 30 more seconds it seems that they both calm down somewhat and drive away. I was just completely stunned. I didn't know what to do. They both seemed like they were crazy. Plus, it was really odd because they didn't fit the general stereotype for domestic abuse. They seemed like two successful, young people. Not to mention I have never seen anything like that happen before. I didn't think there were actually men that would put their hands on a woman, regardless of the circumstances. I mean honestly, she seemed like a b****, but she was pregnant! They guy is obviously messed up too. Some of the other people standing by wrote down the plate numbers I think. Don't know if they called the cops or whatever though. Just a whacky situation
I actually found it fun to read. Just goes to show how insane living in Houston is... and yet, I would still pick it over Dallas any day.
It seems to me most of the time the first one to respond to a thread have something douchey to say. Anyways, what race were they dude. I'm guessing Indian. Those dudes seem to like to hit a woman. Interesting. I learned a long time ago that when a couple is fighting to just let them be. I don't give a damn if the dude is beating the girl, it's not my business and I don't care.

Yep, and that girl that appears to be in need of some protection will turn around and tell the cops whatever lies she needs to in order to get her man out of trouble including saying the dude trying to protect her was the aggressor.
pregnant women tend to lose it every once in awhile, i know my wife wasn't exactly herself at times when she was pregnant.

I don't think race have anything to do with how this situation but I do think that it's more important to realize that this was likely to be a middle class couple by the vehicle he was driving and location where they decided to act a fool. People try to make it seem like it's always poor and minorities who have issues like this but actually it's more likely in the young middle class white American home.
