I dont venture into the debate forum very often but I have been thinking about this strange scenario for a long time now. Let me explain. I am sure we could all agree that if we walked into Auschwitz we would get a creepy feeling. Now imagine if you walked into Auschwitz only you werent aware of where you were at, you had no clue it was Auschwitz. Do you still think you would get that same creepy feeling (implying something paranormal)? Or would things seem normal without the knowledge of its horrific past?
That can be proved quite easily. The original question can hardly be addressed in the same manner as it deals with human perception and preconceptions.
When does a vibration become a sound? I would think when it is heard, therefore would the answer be never?
well, after i see emaciated prisoners forced in labor and soldiers in dark uniforms rounding them up in lines...then YEAH i would get that creepy feeling.
So you are basically asking if you would get an erection around a long lost sister if you didn't know she was your sister?
Two monks were watching a flag ripple in the wind and arguing over which was moving, the flag or the wind. Overhearing them, the sixth patriarch said, "Neither the flag nor the wind is moving; it is your mind that is moving."
I do believe that some people are sensitive to this sort of thing and would get that creepy feeling we sometimes get (i.e.) hair standing up on the back of your neck/ etc. It would be interesting to tell them they were going some place nice then gauge their reaction once they were inside one of the worse places created by humans on the planet.
I'm sure that if they bulldozed everything and replaced it with a strip mall then it'd be a meeting grounds for the dead and the oblivious.
Sound:mechanical radiant energy that is transmitted by longitudinal pressure waves in a material medium (as air) and is the objective cause of hearing. Newtons laws tell you a falling tree will disturb the air around it generating differences in air pressure as a wave, this is sound. It is, in fact, reality. That which exists whether or not you believe or observe it.
I serously doubt it People march and crunch on the bones of dead slaves and dead indians everyday without said creepiness it is in their head and their level of sensativity for the people it happened too Rocket River
I saw a guy break dancing right by the WTC site. People seemed to be preoccupied by his sweet dance moves.
There is not such a confined area on the planet where so many people were killed and tortured. Also, people often speak of getting an eerie feeling at the Gettysburg battlefield. i'm just saying...
