Really great movie. It has twists, can be depressing because it taps into some of the true problems that go on today. Yes the problems that are highlighted in the movie aren't at the forefront everyday, but they are always there. It was a very well done movie, with absolutely great acting. Don Cheadle and Terrance Howard in the same movie. What a great film.
i just saw the movie this past week. ludacris put in quite an impressive performance. i thought it was excellent. i was intrigued (not sure if that's the right word) by matt dillon's character.
It was a decent to good movie. It didn't assume the audience was stupid enough to need to have its message spelled out for them. Most minorities probably wouldn't find the movie shocking, but Jennifer Esposito's nude scene was worth the price of a ticket.
it took about a 1/3 of the movie before i realized she's the secretary on Spin City. She always looked hot on that show. On Crash, she seemed "aged".
I guess it's the size of the theatre screen then. I'm beginning to notice in reruns played on High-Def TV that a lot of actresses look aged.
It sounds interesting. It was written and directed by a Canadian who has been living in LA for something like 10 years, so it probably comes from his outsider’s observations of race relations in an urban American setting like LA. The other Crash was directed by another Canadian, David Cronenberg, who also directed the recently released History of Violence. I don’t know where what goes on in that man’s mind comes from, though. Maybe it’s some kind of extreme reaction to the polite, reserved Canadian stereotype. Whatever it is, his Crash holds my record for the movie I’ve seen with the most people walking out on. Disturbing it most certainly is.
I agree, I just watched the movie here at work... and wow, I was floored by it all. I like how it portrayed everyone because everyone had their flaws and no one was perfect. If you haven't seen this movie I think all Americans should see it, it would make you think twice about what you do or say and what thoughts run through your mind. One of the best movies I've seen in years, and I'm a movie fanatic. I really liked the roll of the locksmith, that was probably the best "feel good" character and story line in years.
The acting is good (except for Brenden Fraser). The racist dialog is, at times, too contrived and makes some of the scenes not very believable. But, there are enough good scenes to make it worth watching. I gave it a "B".
this is hands down one of the greatest movies ive ever seen. 3rd on my all time favorites behind only Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Matrix 1
I agree totally. Although, i would give it more of a B- or C. I didn't like how ignant they portrayed the Persian......but it was just a movie.
I thought it was decent. It pretty much told the truth out there, and am I the only one that wanted to b**** slap Sandra Bullock? Matt Dillion's character was interesting and Ryan Phillippe was great in his role but unfortunate thing he did. I am a BIG fan of Thandie Newton after watching her on MI2 but she looked "aged" here too. Jennifer Esposito is still a hottie and follow her on Related since my gf watches it. Ludacris had the BEST speech in the beginning, then represented his own arguement, quite funny if u ask me. Overall, I'd reccommend it.
It was good. I liked it. Some parts like other people said aren't believable. But overall pretty good movie I'd give it 8.4 or so out of 10.
