What is the cheapest way to go to replace the screen? Does anyone know of any reliable websites?

You're looking at roughly $300-$500 if you send it in to get repaired.

(probably more for parts....that's just the labor for most businesses).

best thing.....get a new one unless that was completely brand new.

If you get a new one, and you have the habit of breaking stuff.....get the accidental coverage warranty plans from stores like Staples.

I agree with the others on the "get a new laptop" sentiment. Dell and Lenovo are always running deals left and right through their website where you can get a good laptop for $500-600.

I think there are shops that will fix it on the cheap....Mr. Notebook comes to mind.

i'd rather get a new laptop if it's not under warranty.

get a monitor for home use for your screenless laptop.

I think I am going to go with buying the screen off of ebay and replacing it myself.

I really don't want to purchase a new laptop.
