I probably crave Chinese food about once every two months. Last Monday, I decided to get some at some dive called Wok-n-Roll in a downtown Dallas office building. I've now had it every single day I've been at work since then. That's 5 straight lunches (missed 2 for snow days, yay!). I don't know what the hell they're putting in this food, but it's badass. They also advertise it as low-fat, low-cholesterol, so that's pretty cool too. This ever happen to you where you can't stop eating the same thing over and over? I'm sure the thought of Orange Chicken will sicken me by Friday though.
Wok-n-Roll?? I don't know if I could eat at a place with that name. I guess they use those young, tender, juicy cats...mmmm.... I usually gorge on those "limited time only" fast food items when they come out. I remember eating Baja chicken sandwiches at Whataburger every day a couple months ago. I've only had one Philly Cheese Steak at Jack in the Crack, so I'm a little behind there...I used to like McRibs when I was a kid, but now they just reek...
It honestly had a lot to do with the very cute daughter running the register. Come to think of it, this food sucks...
No, but my better half & I are trying to figure out what Krispy Kreme puts in their doughnuts, man! The location at Richmond is totally packed late at night. And anytime someone mentions Krispy Kreme at work, school, wherever, someone gets all Homer Simpson on us, 'Ummm, Krispy Kreme...' . We call them the "Crack Doughnuts." Weirdest thing.
I've never understood the facination with Krispy Kreme. They're good doughnuts (more of a dessert than a breakfast item), but I'd take Shipley's over Krispy Kreme any day...
A-Train spoketh Dude Train, It;s like you are reading my mind!!! I really dig on those whataburger Baja Chicken sandwiches... and what the hell is up with McPigs lately, they used to rock, now they suck. BTW re: Krispy Kreme, I don't get it, but I'm a big chocoholic. I always preferred the square donut.
I worked at McD's in high school, and I kid you not, those patties are about 2.5 times larger prior to cooking. I had to scrape and squeegee the grill after every batch. I have been addicted to Nit Noi Thai Restaurant down on Woodway in Houston. I get 3 or 4 orders of the soft spring roll appetizer and a tub of there peanut sauce. Ok, I gotta go get me some now.
Orange chicken sort of fried in batter correct? Does Wok-n-Roll have Cashew chicken? Try it man, stir fried chicken will be better for you than fried batter. I love cashew chicken!
China Stix in Houston... Rudy's in Austin... This is nothing new friend. "Time does not count itself. You have only to look at a circle and this is apparent. --Leto II (The Tyrant)"
I have to agree, Shipley donuts are damn good. I like Krispy Kreme when they are warm and fresh, but Shipleys are good even days after the fact. Damn, those donut holes, arrrrgggggg. . . A place that I would eat at everyday if I could would be Lai Lai Dumpling House. Man oh man, pork fried dumplings, beef steamed dumplings, and a huge plate of house special fried rice, arrrrrggggg. . . I recommend this place to any and all of my H-town compadres. http://houston.citysearch.com/profile/9881687/
I once ate Taco Bell for lunch and Dinner for 2 straight weeks. Now I am boycotting them because the local TB's discontinued the Tostada.
Reminds me of Panda Express in Austin... I was hitting the **** out of their orange chicken and pepper steak.... right up until the point I got canned. Then I was stuck with Ramen noodles.
