Fifty years down the line, and the Texans might win 10 superbowls, and 15 AFC Championships, and have 20 League MVPs, and 70 Hall of Famers, but that 19-10 win over the Cowboys on the Texans opening night will always be special.

he actually looked good today, it was the sloppy play and over 100 penalty yards that cost the giants the game.

romo looked average, hopefully this was his off game and he'll come back next week against the saints.

Any time you can go to your division rival's stadium and get out with a win is awesome. Doesn't matter if it was a little sloppy or if there are mistakes. A W on the road is gold in the NFL.

The game wasn't pretty (for either team), but it was great to see the Cowboys come away with a win. Romo didn't have a great game (maybe due to better competition, as Lil Pun mentioned), but he was still able to lead the team to victory, including the huge 40 yard pass to Witten late in the game. Don't know why, but I was actually somewhat confident about having Grammatica. I didn't have much confidence in Vanderjagt (almost thought he should have been cut in preseason), and the fact that Grammatica made all his kicks in practice (something Vanderjagt never did apparently) made me think that we might get someone who was decent at FGs. The first FG showed me how wrong I was, and the one that he barely made didn't help either. Needless to say, when he kicked the GW FG, I let out a huge sigh of relief. Not quite sure if Grammatica will solve our kicking problems, but at least we didn't lose this game due to missed FGs.

I thought Eli played really good. Our defense could have played better, but I definitely wouldn't place this loss on him. He seemed to do all he could to lead the Giants to victory, and he almost succeeded. If they want someone to blame, they can look at the numerous personal foul penalties that some of their players made (all for 15 yards IIRC). I'm pretty mad when the Cowboys make stupid penalties like false starts or even tackling a return man who signaled fair catch (so stupid), but there were 2-3 penalties against the Giants that were caused by unnecessary roughness after plays were called dead. Penalties will kill you in a game like this, and the Giants probably would've won the game had a few players had their head on straight (of course, we probably would have won a few extra games too).

The game against NO should be a good one.
