Seeing as he has one year left on his contract, if Cousins made it known he was going to definitely become a free agent next summer, is it possible for the Rockets to put together something that could get Cousins here? If everyone knows it's just a rental, maybe his price goes low enough? I could definitely see him being willing to resign with Houston if he was traded here.
I would say no way to trade for him. We already gave up assets Bev, Dekker, Harrell and a first round pick for Paul. So, what do you think the Pelicans would want from us? They wouldn't want Former Pels Anderson or Gordon, so what is left? Not much.
Thread titles that are just a random nba player on another teams name are hilarious. I should start a thread called: Gasol?
I don't think they're related, just friends. hehehehehehehehehehehehehehehhehe Back to bill and bull.
PG was had for next to nothing, and he has a full year on his deal. Paul was snagged for a few role players. What's Cousins value with half a season left on his contract and no guarantee of him staying?
We cant put a deal for melo to entice the Knicks so getting Cousins is pretty much out of the realms of possibility.
True, but Melo isn't going anywhere any time soon. They don't have to get rid of him. They may even end up keeping him. The Pacers should have traded PG earlier, and instead waited until his value was next to nothing. If Cousins tells the Pelicans he is going to test the market next summer, why would any team want to trade for him for a few month rental? Unless you were willing to take the risk of him walking for nothing for a chance at a title.
It could happen. We'd have to give up more than ryno though and i would assume that would mean sending clint capella out there which i would not be opposed to.
