Coup in Thailand

Thailand has a long history of bloodless coups and usually these coups don't really affect the normal running of the country. I doubt there will be much impact on the daily lives of average Thais or tourists.

 

For some strange reason I had this song in my head last night. I hate that song, too. Weird.

 

my wife emailed me a couple of hours ago because earlier she told me her co-worker was going to thailand and she gave him some money for a knock off "coach" bag. now their job is trying to get him back immediately.

 

It was all a misunderstanding. When the prime minister asked where the tsunami aid was needed the most, his aids told him, 'Just Phuket' and he misunderstood.

(Sorry. Couldn't resist the rare chance at a Phuket joke.)

 

Thaksin is in exile just a few blocks away from my apartment at the Grand Hyatt. I sent a diplomatic communique to the Thai embassy telling them he could crash on my couch if he wanted, I would imagine he might miss his next flight back.

 

Wow. A thread in D&D without any Bush blaming or bashing?
